Our 3rd day of camp, the students will prepare some fun and festive appitizers perfect for New Year's Eve! They will get to take home a selction to share with family and friends while ringing in the new year. Kid-friendly favorites such as pigs in a blanket, meatballs, cheese straws, and homemade ranch dip for veggies. Parents are welcome to stay or drop off. Learning areas: history, social studies, science, math, kitchen safety. Limit: 10 students Suggested ages: 6+ (younger are welcome with adult helper present) Warning: not an allergy-free event! Nuts will be present as well as wheat. Cost: $15 per child, per class.
OUTDOOR YOUTH DAY - West Palm Beach, FL
Outdoor Youth Day is February 4,2017 at the Everglades Youth Camp 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. This will be the Florida Sportsmens Conservation Association 14th Annual Outdoor Youth Day Event and It’s FSCA bigiest day of the year. This event has buggy rides, airboat rides, pony rides, and canoeing, archery, gun range instruction, fishing and wildlife shows to reach kids of all ages and show them the benefits of being outdoors instead of in front of a TV. SummerART Camp Full Day Studio Art Program 9:30am to 5pm Studio Art with Painting Studio Elective Session III: July 25 to August 5 Studio Art Camp Farm to Easel: Animals of the Northeast Celebrate the wonder of summer by exploring the animals and plants that live, blossom, and grow all around us. This session will explore our regions animals and plant life. From the farms to the forest, and birdhouses to beaches, we will be inspired by the colors, shapes, and sound of the flora and fauna that are local to our area. Weather permitting, campers will explore nature on MAMs grounds and at Van Vleck House and Gardens. We will create works of two and three dimensional art in a variety of media inspired by our observations and imaginations! Golf and So Much More - Half Day - South Germantown Driving Range
For kids who want to try golf but dont want to spend all day at it, this great combo camp will keep them happy and active all day! With the help of a Montgomery County Golf Academy instructor, all campers will practice putting, chipping, driving, and using irons and woods at the Driving Range (M-Th, 9am-Noon). On Friday, everyone will play 9 holes of golf at a nearby course, then full-day campers will head back for a final fun group activity. Afternoons for full-day campers will be filled with so much more: tennis, basketball, kick ball, mini-golf and water fun at SG Splash Playground. Dont want so much more? Sign up for half-day camp and concentrate on golf! Fee covers instruction, tees, Nike Golf® balls, and transportation Friday. Full-day campers will also receive a Nike Golf® hat and Papa Johns Pizza for lunch on Friday. Well provide clubs to kids who dont have them. This session will allow kids to convert their favorite stories into keepsake crafts using the process of upcycling. This experience will teach the importance of repurposing through creativity while encouraging conversations about the value and importance of literature in our lives. Participants will create several items from old books chosen for this purpose. While creating these items, we will discuss their favorite stories, the most fascinating characters, and why books and upcycling are important. *Participants will need to bring 3 hardback books of their choice; books that are in disrepair or those which would otherwise be recycled are recommended. Favorite childrens books are especially useful. Ms. Suzanne Russell earned her M.S. in Library Science from Indiana University. She is the subject area librarian for Brebeufs Religious Studies and Science departments. She is a former Girl Scout leader; enjoys books, cooking, baking; and loves all things outdoors. Natures Explorers - Week 6 - Nature Center at Shaker Lakes
How old are the rocks in Northeast Ohio and how did they form? This week we will discover many different rock formations as we explore the geology around the Nature Center, as well as Nelson-Kennedy Ledges State Park and Euclid Creek Reservation.
