May Session 5 includes Field Day 2016!! Field Day May 20th PE is a 90 minute class that allows students to explore many sports in a short time. This program is designed so that students can be ACTIVE and learn about athletics and team sports. Each class begins with a dynamic warm-up and stretch. We rotate through agility stations and drills. Each unit of study includes sport specific drills and games. Including rules of the game, strategy and the fundamentals required to play. How Are Emergency Situations Handled?
Emergency action plans are in place, reviewed with staff and practiced to ensure that campers are safe. These plans focus on everything from weather and health issues to missing camper or medical emergencies. All staff members, regardless of their role, are trained in these procedures to ensure everyone is on the same page. Your children are in safe hands! If there is an issue, the staff will make sure to call the parents to make sure they are updated on all medical action taken or a weather-related situation like a bad storm. It's here! The Fall edition of our Teen Power Camp provides a fundamental fitness foundation for any high school student, scaled to anyone from first timers just trying to get into shape to high school athletes looking for structured off-season training or additional in-season work. The Teen Power Program will introduce athletes to bodyweight exercises, gymnastics, powerlifting and basic olympic weightlifting, all while under the close supervision of a certified CrossFit instructor. Our goal is to teach local Teens how to safely and efficiently move their body and external objects (bars, kettlebells, medicine balls, etc) through space, dramatically improving body composition and improving athletic ability in anyone. Our program is designed to increase stamina, strength, power, endurance, coordination, balance, accuracy and flexibility in any person, all while in a team environment filled with positive people. Every workout is scaled to ANY teens capacity. Teens must be at least 13 years of age and emotionally mature. Age Range: 7 and up Description: Campers will spend a week exploring all things Minecraft: from educational MODs, build challenges, hands on clay Minecraft figurine building, build a Minecraft torch that lights up, hour of code with Minecraft, Minecraft style block art tile painting, learn about screen printing and stencil your very own Creeper t-shirt, make Minecraft Creepers out of Hama beads, to paper arts and more.
