Join us Friday October 23rd-Sunday October 25th for an unforgettable weekend learning about our culture & faith. Retreat is a great way to take a break from city life and connect with one another, ultimately making memories that will last a lifetime. Our topic for the weekend will be: Who am I? Who are we? Four Elements Kid's Camp - Naples, FL
Children 5 to 12 years are invited to one or both days of our half-day camps. Our activities will reflect each of these four elements, and be predominantly outside, so dress for comfort! We’ll explore air and fire on Thursday, learning about the power of air currents and our biggest fireball, the sun. On Friday, special guest Valerie Flanigan from Driftwood Garden Center will help us make and/or decorate stepping stones for our garden (earth), then we move to the element of water, where we create an ocean in a bottle and play with watercolor magic. We end with Tai Chi by Elena Roubicek! Registration is required and each session is limited to 10 participants so we can give our best to each child. All materials are provided, including a snack. Parents are welcome to attend as well! Register via email: [email protected], or in person at the table on Sundays in front of Youth & Family Ministries. Both camps are presented on a love-offering basis and open to all children.

Tuesday - Knitting - HoLa Lower School
This class begins with essential lessons for to empower new knitters. Lessons will include choosing supplies, reading instructions, casting on, knit stitch, purl stitch, and binding off. Using these basic techniques, participants will learn how to create different knitting patterns using the knit and purl techniques, including seed stitch, ribbing, stockinette, and garter. By the end of the class, the students will have created a scarf using techniques learned in the class. (201) 427-1458

This exciting new offering will coordinate with the Webb Institute. Located in Glen Cove, the Webb Institute is a private engineering college, offering a dual major in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering. Participants in the Sea Perch Program will build an underwater robot. The completed the robots will then be brought to Webb Institute for a day of in-water testing and head-to-head competitions that determine how well the robots were constructed and how well the human operators can control their custom-built submersible seacraft. If the bees and the spiders can do it, we can too! In this camp we will explore the shelters of our creature friends for inspiration for our very own natural building project that we will embark on throughout the week. 303-242-4877

The first week of this session, you will continue to build on the leadership skills youve learned in your past summers as a CIT. During your second week you will have additional responsibilities as you are paired with a counselor and their younger campers. 360-734-7652

CU Baseball School Grades 6-8 (Day Camp ) Check-in will be Monday morning from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM in the Bernice Hansen Athletic Center. Please look for postings to help make this time easier and more convenient for all. Parents, we will register your child as quickly as possible so that you are able to get to work on time. The day camp will begin at 8:30am the rest of the week. Each day we will have fundamental and individual skill work in the mornings. Typical afternoons will focus on team defensive work and situational baseball and generally will end around 3:30PM at which time you may leave for home.
