Tween/teen Yoga Camp - Camp Hill, PA
The focus for this program is to inspire and empower tweens and teens and to establish a deeper sense of self respect and self discipline so they can live a more balanced and fulfilled life. We will empower tweens/teens through journaling, breathing practices, meditation, aerial yoga and mat yoga. We'll have fun and learn to trust others and ourselves through partner yoga poses. Though drop in students are welcome, we encourage participants to enroll in the the entire four week program because each week we will build upon the lessons of the previous week. Camp runs 5-6:15pm on Tuesday, July 19 and 26th, August 9 and 16. Please note there is a break the week of August 2. A minimum of 4 students is required to run the program, so please register early! A refund will be given if the minimum number of participants is not met. There will be a maximum of 8 participants, based on the number of aerial yoga hammocks, so pre-registration is required. The Pennsylvania Youth Recovery Campaign and The Bridgeway School would like to formally announce that legislation is officially being sponsored in both the House of Representative (Rep. John Taylor –[R] Philadelphia) and the Senate (Sen. Pat Browne -[R] Pennsylvania) to promote recovery high schools in Pennsylvania. When enacted, this bill will create an alternate class of school designated Recovery High School. These schools will be suited to address the educational and recovery support needs of high school age/eligible youth dealing with substance use disorders in Pennsylvania. These schools will ensure that students receive the tools necessary to retain long term recovery, achieve academic greatness, and promote family inclusion, support, and overall wellness through education and recovery. We need your help to raise awareness for, and champion this cause on behalf of all Pennsylvania Youth. Lets learn how to throw a castnet and maybe catch a happy mullet. What do mullet eat and what does mullet taste like? Students will also learn about Turkey and the cultural traditions of the land where King Midas once ruled. We will also explore the rich and colorful patterns of Turkish tiles, and each student will design and decorate their own tile to take home. A mid-morning snack will be served. Choice indoor and outdoor activities will be offered, as well as a walk to Taney Park, weather permitting. Please pack a lunch (including a beverage) in a disposable bag. For the safety of our students, please DO NOT INCLUDE PEANUT BUTTER or any nuts in your childs lunch.
