Girls Rock SB! is an after-school music program and summer camp for girls aged 7-17. Girls learn either guitar, bass, drums, keys, vocals, and introducing: electric violin! They form bands, write songs together, and perform them at a local venue. They also get to experience a great selection of workshops, which include the following: Songwriting, DJing, Hip Hop Dance, Screenprinting (making their own band t-shirts), Zine-Making, Yoga, Recording/Engineering, and Martial Arts Girls Rock Santa Barbara! is an organization that empowers girls through music. Through music lessons, creative expression, workshops, group activities, and performance, girls learn self-confidence and teamwork. GRSB challenges gender stereotypes, encourages collaboration and tolerance among peers, and provides a safe and comfortable space for girls of all backgrounds to express themselves. NFL Pouncey Twins Youth Football Camp - Lakeland, FL
The Lakeland PAL Youth is proud to partner with NFL superstars Michael and Maurkice Pouncey to host the 6th Annual Pouncey Twins Youth Football Camp on Saturday July 9, 2016. The free camp will take place from 8AM – 12PM at Lakeland Christian School, located at 1111 Forest Park Street. Boys and girls ages six to sixteen are invited to come develop their football skills with help from NFL players and coaches from across Polk County. To guarantee a spot, parents must pre-register their child. Adventurers Outdoor Day Camp - Mount Shepherd Retreat Center
Adventurers are assigned to a small group of 10 to 16 campers and spend the week with counselors known for boundless energy and creative imaginations. Over the course of the week Adventurers can expect to canoe, swim, take a hayride, explore nature, make table top pottery, make nature crafts, hike to the fire tower, play games and have an all-round good time. Musical Production: The Lion King - The Evergreen School
Two shows on Friday July 29th at 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. in The Evergreen Theater. Calling actors, singers, and dancers! The Evergreen School Summer Performing Arts Program is putting on a big show and we need your talent! In this two week production, students become members of a small cast, and each day is filled with fun activities that build skills for musical theater. This years show is The Lion King. Every student enrolled receives a copy of the music and the script in advance of rehearsals. Auditions take place on the first day of class. In this production, everyone will be strongly featured with solos for all. On the last day, July 29, in partnership with our Backstage Crew and Costume Crew classes, actors will present two big performances (3:00 pm and 7:00 pm) complete with sets, costumes and lights. Attendance is required for all days of these two weeks and at both shows. This successful summer program has a team of five experienced teaching artists all lead by Evergreens Vanessa Miller.
