Rogue Robots: LEGO Robotics Camp - San Angelo, TX
Robots aren’t just inventions in a galaxy far, far away— they exist here on Earth, at your local library! Join us this Winter Break for a Star Wars-themed robotics camp. Each day we’ll watch a clip from the movies, and build a LEGO robot inspired by the film. The library will be hosting two four-day camps—attending all four days is not mandatory, but each class will build upon the previous classes. No prior experience in LEGO robotics necessary, but seating is limited so RSVP is required. Call (325-655-7321), email ([email protected]), Facebook message (TGCL Teen Republic), or drop by in person to reserve seats! Sign-ups will open November 21! Session 2- Advanced Residential and Extended Day Camp - University of Maryland
This camp is an all-encompassing program specifically designed for the more serious soccer player. The focus here will be to challenge each individual to transfer what they have learned in the morning skill sessions and the afternoon small group tactics into the competitive full-field evening games. You will play on the same fields that the University of Maryland Mens Soccer Team utilizes. Students will cover the history of this incredible technology, learn about various types of 3D Printers, how to properly prepare and operate our printers and how to model objects from scratch using TinkerCAD and 123Design. The class will culminate with each student designing and printing their own unique objects to take home! Utilize Redstone to increase creativity, and learn file editing, cyber security, and safe internet browsing techniques. Campers will implement some of the most popular Minecraft mods including Biomes OPlenty, Decocraft, Twilight Forest, Optifine, Pixelmon, as well as mods of the campers choice!
