Our Children's Trust, Rogue Climate, the Geos Institute, and Trail Treckers are coming together to host a one day training for youth and their parents on how to become effective advocates for a stable climate. Elementary through high school students from around the Rogue Valley are welcome! Suggested ages are 9-18. Bring a sack lunch, and we will provide snacks! Camp Indian Summer - Irvine, KY
On the weekend of October 14-16 it's officially ADULT SWIM at the Cathedral Domain. Camp Indian Summer is an opportunity for grown-up kids of all ages to leave their worries and responsibilties at the foot of the mountain and spend a few days being a kid again. Explore the streams, caves and forest trails on the 800 acre Cathedral Domain property located in the Daniel Boone National Forest. Relax on our decks and porches, beside the swimming pool, or around the campfire. Refresh your spirit with yoga classes, guided meditation, and creative worship. Program for returning campers ages 11 to 14. Junior CITs work closely with camp instructors, farm staff, and children ages 3 to 8 assisting with animal care, fiber arts, gardening, games, and cooking. Two week minimum preferred. 413-657-0000

Camp Collegiate Session 5 3rd-8th grades - Wichita Collegiate School
Instructor: Hawley Session 5: Explore the Great Outdoors III. Camp Collegiate is a fast-paced, fun-based learning experience that is meant to make summer days fly by with fun activities. Boys and girls in third through eighth grade spend their days with friends and counselors doing all of the typical camp things: swimming, cooking out on a camp fire, canoe trips, arts and crafts, having treats, horseback riding, games … and a lot of not-so-traditional things: feeding and caring for snakes and hamsters; studying ecosystems and astronomy; competing in science challenges; building woodworking and electronics projects. Fun off-campus trips will include canoeing down the Fall River, visiting the Oklahoma salt flats, going to Laser Quest, the Alley, Ice Skating, Tanganyika, the Sedgwick Co. Zoo, and All-Star Adventures. Kids often say that great memories are made in this camp and its one of the best parts of their summer! Each day at camp begins at 9:00 AM with a game of Capture the Flag and ends at 3:00 PM with a fun closing activity where the Happy Camper for the day is announced. Flip for our Gymnastics Camps this summer. Whetstone Community Center offers one-week gymnastics camps for girls and boys beginner through advanced levels. Campers will participate in a skills test the first day to place them in an appropriate level. Both weeks offer gymnast instruction on the following apparatuses: Vault, Balance Beam, Bars, and Floor. Campers will participate in group as well as art activities. On Fridays of each week, campers will also get to participate in a themed performance to showcase their abilities in front of family and friends. Ages 13-14 must be a level 4 to attend. Flexible drop off time between 7:30-9 am. Flexible pick up time between 4-6 pm. Breakfast and lunch provided.
