I think in this day and age it's so important for girls to have the opportunity to bond with other girls without distraction. Yes, I'm talking about boys and texting! What's amazing is that our daughter didn't seem to miss either this summer. She came back from Alpengirl so confident and self-assured. She's also eating a lot more salad. Kinderfari camps are 1/2 day, week-long adventures for our youngest zoo campers (K-1st grade)! Afternoon camps run Monday-Friday from 1:30-4pm, with free after care offered from 4-5pm. Limit 16 campers per session. "Bugs": What makes a bug a bug? How are they useful? What kinds can you find in your own backyard? Spring 2016 Life on the Farm Camp - Connolly Ranch
The kids need something to do for spring break—and Connolly Ranch has a camp full of activities designed to keep them engaged in the outdoors. During our week, the children will take care of the farm animals including the new spring lambs and baby chicks, get creative with arts and crafts, learn about our honeybees and other pollinators, cook with local ingredients, build natural shelters, learn about seed starting in the greenhouse, get their hands dirty in the garden and of course hike and explore the nature trails in Westwood Hills park. A great option for parents who work, TONS-O-FUN Camp offers a fun and safe Extended Day program from 7:30-8:30AM and 3:30-5:00PM for an additional fee. Extended Day includes supervised and partially structured activities, including arts and crafts, games and sports.One fee gives participants access to both morning and afternoon extended care. Parents can flex use of the program daily based on their needs. Come early, stay late or do both. It?s up to you! Participants must be registered in advance by the week to participate. Please note that there will be a minimum number of campers required for each session to run extended camp hours. It is highly recommended that parents pack an extra snack and drink for children who participate in the Extended Day program. All arrival and dismissal policies apply to the Extended Care program. This is the perfect introduction to chemical reactions for curious middle school students! Each day, students will learn about the chemical interactions of atoms and molecules using hands-on lab activities, group activities, and class discussions. All materials will be provided, but students should wear clothes that are appropriate for lab activities. Kristen Tordillos teaches biology, physical science, and honors biology at Seattle Prep.
