LATEST CAMPS NEWS: Creative Adventures at Savannah Country Day - SCDS
Creative Adventures is an introduction to performing arts while learning to play creatively. We will utilize theatre exercises and "games" that assist in developing verbal and fine motor skills. We will pantomime, sing, and dance to music. Simple costume pieces and instruments are utilized. We also focus on the art of storytelling and how we can use our minds, voices, bodies and the space around us. We will create basic props, puppets and masks related to the stories to assist in the retelling and acting out a story. Card stock, paper bags, and art supplies are some of the materials used to create these items since the focus is on retelling and acting out the story not making an art project. End of Session Performance: On our last class day for this session, Friday, we will have a demonstration of the activities your child has participated in this week. It will be during the last 30 minutes of camp (11:30). Pictures and videos are allowed. Please take into consideration that your child may or may not feel self conscious with you and other parents watching. They may not perform or participate the same as they have in camp. Thursday Mornings - Four Rock
Our Forest Kindergarten program is modeled around German Waldkindergartens, in which all of our class time is spent entirely outside! Rolling enrollment continues based on availability Outdoor classrooms naturally create endless learning opportunities for our children to nurture their own curiosity, perhaps by following animal tracks and sign, making wild crafts with leaves and treasures found on the forest floor, or using fallen logs as balance beams. Adult mentors assist in the learning, rather than lead the teachings. This is different from a "nature preschool," which infuses lessons with nature-inspired themes and balances indoor time with outdoor time, as we will be outside the ENTIRE time in all but extreme weather conditions. Proper dress and an adventurous, curious spirit is essential... and we know thats what kids do best! 978-463-2233

Oakhill Day School - Oakhill Day School
Our goal at Oakhill Summer Days is to create a summer camp where every child can find multiple camps of interest. As campers grow from summer to summer, so will Oakhill Summer Days. We want to help children express their unique qualities that define who they are. From Toddler through Middle School, we have developed a summer program to help us accomplish this goal. Camp themes range from academics, art, all types of enrichment, and sports. Our camp spans over nine weeks during the summer. This time span allows campers ample time to fully explore Oakhill Summer Days. Half day and full day options are available, along with extended care programs to make our hours convenient for parents work schedules. Please enjoy browsing Oakhill Summer Days on the web and creating your very own unique summer experience! 816-436-6228
