Next Camp is May 7th! We are holding another kids camp on Saturday May 7th. Our first few camps have gone great and we are hoping to continue building, bringing out new faces, and learning the game. Please bring out any kids, boys or girls, ages 6-12 years whether they be your own kids or others that you invite. All activities are non-contact, touch-style rugby. We got our parade rained on a little bit for the last camp, the weather turned quickly overnight on us when the storms weren't expected to show up until the afternoon. We will keep on eye on the report leading up to the event and make an announcement if necessary. Please spread the word!

Kiddie Camp - Pierce Park Pavilion
Join us for lots of camp fun this summer season! Kiddie camp is a week long structured camp for children ages 3-5. Campers will enjoy arts and crafts, games, daily swim lessons, and more! Red Cross certified Water Safety Instructors teaches all swim lessons, and all camp staff are CPR certified. A daily snack will be provided, and children will enjoy a pizza party on Fridays. All children must be potty trained. All camps take place at Pierce Park Pool. All Children must be potty trained! Have them dressed in their swim suits when they come to camp. Bring towels. Global Scientists - Middle School
Nearly one billion people on our planet lack access to clean water. Thats one billion people who cant drink from a faucet, shower or cook a meal without risk of illness - or worse! In this course, students will collaborate with a Global Partner Student from a developing country to help quench the thirst of the world. Through video message exchanges they will learn about each other and explore how water is used in each others culture, study the chemical properties of water and the water cycle, and then use the engineering design process to build, test and tweak biodomes, water towers, and water filtration systems to better understand how water systems can be polluted and purified. As their understanding of the subject matter grows, students will work closely with their Global Partners to develop a hands-on research project that shows the water problems each of their countries face while sharing practical ways to address these problems and help bring clean water to the world! Calling all flutes, oboes, clarinets and bassoons! Chamber Music is a fun and effective way to improve your playing skills. In rehearsals and master classes well cover a variety of topics like rhythm, phrasing, listening, intonation, projection and blend. In addition, students will receive instrument specific instruction from MacPhail faculty and local teaching artists. EcoEngineers - Bluff Lake Nature Center
EcoEngineers will investigate and discover how our planets natural power sources and renewable resources are at work right here at Bluff Lake. Daily hands-on activities, crafts, and experiments will guide campers in their exploration of solar, wind, and hydropower. Campers will use the energy from water and wind to sail hand-made boats as well as harness the power of the sun to cook a snack in a solar oven. This camp is for every kid with some energy to play and to build a strong future for themselves and the planet. All campers will learn from science experts, play learning games, make projects, meet new friends, cool off in Sand Creek and have supervised exploration time. Mobile Game Development Students learn to design and code a mobile game App using Unity, a professional game development platform widely used by independent (indie) game developers and studios, and C#, an industry standard object-oriented programming language.
