Grown-Up Summer Camp - Indianapolis, IN
Remember summer camp? Remember making new friends, learning new skills, getting a cool t-shirt and having fun? Following a sold-out debut last year, we are bringing back the joy of camp, but for grown-ups only. Grown-Up Summer Camp is a day-long immersive experience with artists, musicians, chefs, curators, and performers throughout the campus. Activities include making cardboard forts to battle rival campers, discovering hidden areas of the IMA campus, foraging the woods for edible plants, and cooking dinner with Cerulean chef Caleb France. Cap off the day gathering by the campfire with a drink with live music by local bands. Combining lift and propulsion we start with the simplicity of Frisbees then build into planes and rockets launching our knowledge of the stars to new heights. This class will delve into the techniques used by famous teachers such as Stanislavsky, Chekov and Boal, to truly hone their skills in bringing characters to life on the stage. Please contact Jay Goodlett to confirm that you have the required training to participate. The last class of the session will be a performance class. Parents/Guardians are invited to attend.
