Kidz Love Soccer All Day Camp Spend a week enjoying the worlds most popular sport in a fun, recreational environment. Learn and practice soccer skills including: dribbling, passing, receiving, shooting and defense. Everyone is a winner as the weeks fun culminates in an age-appropriate World Cup tournament. All-day campers will stay for lunch and more fun in the afternoon. After lunch they will enjoy more soccer, soccer movies, and tabletop soccer games. Each day will reinforce the skills we learned by ending the day with a full soccer match. All campers will receive a soccer ball and jersey. All-day campers should bring a full water bottle (1.5 liter minimum), a healthy snack and a bag lunch. ALL PARTICIPANTS MUST WEAR SHIN GUARDS. SOCCER SHOES AND SUNSCREEN ARE RECOMMENDED. Come to our "YouthPass to the Future" Campaign Kick-Off! OPAL's multi-racial youth program, Youth Environmental Justice Alliance, is organizing a community event to raise awareness about a campaign to sustain and expand the YouthPass program in Portland. Our goal for the campaign is to show the city, TriMet, our schools, and our community that affordable public transportation is important for youth to lead healthy lives, be able to thrive, and be successful. The youth-led event will officially launch our campaign and engage with community members and decision makers, especially in East Portland neighborhoods. There will be educational booths about transit justice, powerful youth testimonies, and cool performances! YouthPass to the Future Campaign: We want all high school students in Portland to be able to go to school and access opportunities that prepare them for success. Transit is an educational right! Camp Catapult Thursday - Newtons Attic
Siege Alert! Look out, its time for ying tennis balls, eggs and bags of Jell-O as this camp offers participants the opportunity to design and build a table top size catapult or trebuchet. Students start with a kit of wood, steel, aluminum and plastic parts and create their catapult. When students nish theirinventions, they eld test them in a fun and exciting activity. This is a single, full day version of Camp Catapult. It should be registered for once during Spring Break unless the student would like to make a second, different catapult on Tuesday.
