Registrations are now being accepted for Ice Town Carlsbad: Sunday March 20th April: 3, 10, 17, 24 May: 1 from 11:30am- 12:30pm 2016 Lil Kings Program requirements: Participant must be between the ages of 4-8 as of March 12th, 2016. 2013, 2014, and 2015 Lil Kings participants are not eligible. Participant must have no prior ice hockey experience. This program is for first time players only. CCM equipment will be professionally fitted and picked up at the Official Lil Kings fitting event. Additional details on the official Lil Kings fitting event will be sent out after your registration is confirmed. The LA Kings highly recommend skating lessons before the Lil Kings event. Please contact your local ice rink for details on learn to skate programs. Here at Camp Whetstone our mission is simple...for kids to have a safe, fun, learning experience each and every week. Each week we will have a new theme that will correlate with the different activities and programs scheduled. Our campers always look forward to the large variety of field trips every summer, which could include: the Columbus Zoo, Zoombezi Bay, Columbus Clippers game, ice skating, Metro Parks, gem mining and swimming at Tuttle Pool. (Some events and trips may require an additional fee to be paid, in cash, at the beginning of each week.) So, lets make new friends and lifelong memories together, at the always exciting, Camp Whetstone! Theme: Health & Safety Flexible drop off time between 7:15-9 am. Week 8: Day Camp Assistant Training (Leadership Development) - Camp Tanadoona
Day Camp Assistant (DCA) Training is the first step in Tanadoonas leadership development program. DCAs spend the first half of the week engaging in teambuilding workshops and interactive leadership training with lead camp staff. Training includes first aid, behavior management, specialty programming and basic counselor skills. DCAs immediately apply their training when they are partnered with Tanadoona Counselors to assist with Day Camp groups during the second half of the week. Staying overnight on Thursday to help with the Thursday Overnight campers provides additional experiential learning. We recommend a minimum of two years of DCA before progressing to CIT. 612-235-7284

Drop-off starts at 8 am, with the first art class at 9am. Options include a day until 3 pm or 6pm. Important Notice from UCAL: At the end of your registration process through the Active system, you will be offered a 30-day free trial of something called the Active Advantage program. You do NOT need to register with Active Advantage to receive member discounts for UCAL programs ,and we do not recommend signing up for it.
