My 10 year old daughter loves participating in Girl Scouts. When she asked about going to this camp I got her signed up right away. She had fun meeting other campers and she came back home with a vision of who she wants to be in her future. In this weeks summer camp children will be taught the fundamentals of wedging and centering on our brand new wheels! They will also work with clay to hand build a picture frame and a mug. This is a great camp to introduce children to clay. This event is for ages 8+

4-H Teen Summit - Session 3 - Nancy, KY
Kentucky 4-H Teen Summit is held annually at the Kentucky 4-H Educational Center in Jabez, KY. The conference is for youth who are currently enrolled in 6th, 7th, or 8th grades. This program is designed to develop leadership, citizenship and communication skills in youth. While at the conference, all participants get to learn in fun and educational workshops taught by members of the Kentucky 4-H State Teen Council. The conference also includes motivational speakers that get young people excited about leadership. The cost to attend is $115 which includes meals, lodging, and transportation. Playmakers Acting Camp - Clague Middle School
Playmakers Acting Camp Grades 2-5 Lets put on a play! Working professional actors and directors lead this all-day camp that teaches campers the core skills of acting: voice and diction, theatre games, improvisation, rehearsing, and performing! Tons of movement, singing, play-based theatre games, rhythm, and rehearsal get campers up and at em, all while building confidence, and exploring creative ways to use their imaginations, voices, and motion. Campers take pride in writing their very own play, and presenting it at weeks end, giving everyone a chance to shine like a star! Campers bring their own lunch, snack and beverage. 1 week. 9 am-4 pm Instructors: Becky Fox and Carla Milarch Becky Fox is the Director of Education at Ann Arbors professional playwrights theatre, Theatre Nova. She was the Director of Education at Performance Network Theatre from 1991 - 2014 and has directed and produced over 50 childrens theater shows. While we are used to lettuce and greens as our salad base, many cultures use grains or beans as their flora foundation. Well learn how to cook dry grain, make our own salad dressing and create an awesome salad full of flavor and vitamins! Teen Camp 9-4pm wk 5 - Frankfort Park District
The Frankfort Park District would like to present Teen Adventures Summer Day Camp program for youth entering 7th ? 9th grade in the fall. This full day camp will provide plenty of outdoor activities, water days, arts & crafts, and a field trip each week that a teen will enjoy. Special guests will be invited to this camp including sports, art and science instructors. Teen Adventures Summer Day Camp will be held at Commissioners Park, located at 22108 S. 80th Avenue in Frankfort, along with the use of Chelsea Middle School, which is located next to Commissioners Park. Drop off and pick up will take place at Chelsea Middle School, located at 22265S. 80th Ave. The camp will run from 9 ? 4pm, Monday thru Friday, with a before and after care option. Bring a bag pack, lunch and water bottle each day. Lunch may be included on certain field trip days. Registration must be done in person at our main office located at the Founders Community Center, 140 Oak Street. A copy of your child?s birth certificate will be required at the time of registration. Week 2 3 Full Days Westport Summer All Sports Camp - Greens Farms Elementary School
For Boys and Girls ages 4-12. We are very excited about our location for the Summer!! This camp offers a combination of traditional sports games like floor hockey, soccer, basketball, flag football, handball, wiffleball, physical education activities such as tag games, pinball, battleship, virtual space tag, north south, gold rush, capture the football, and various cooperative games. We ask that our full day campers bring a (peanut butter free) snack and lunch and water bottle, and our half day campers bring a peanut butter free snack and water bottle. Children are divided by age into small groups and will participate in developmentally appropriate activities for their groups. Generally the groups contain children of no more than a year apart and we do our best to maintain an 8:1 ratio of campers to coaches and sometimes even 6:1 for our youngest groups. Graduates of Kindergarten - 5th grade are welcome! Camp will be divided into groups of 8 children with one teacher. Topics of the camp: ● Robotics ● Programming ● Tinkering ● STEAM ● Team Work ● Leadership ● Entrepreneurship Learning objectives: ● Basic concepts of programming : events, commands, sequences of commands ● Basic Concepts of mechanics: simple machines, gears, pulleys, levers ● Intermediate concepts of programming; Program flow model, simple sensors (wait for) behaviors, decision making structures ● Real world solutions and engineering practices like: building solutions to real world problems, problem solving strategies, team work, and leadership Join us for week 2 for Robotics II.
