We will make Roman armor and practice battle strategies, prepare and sample Roman foods, create Roman art and much more. Well even learn a little Latin along the way. 2nd Annual Fox Camp Youth Hunt - undefined, MS
Hosted by Jeremy and Joni McLarty. Saturday, November 5th. Eat at 12:00, draw for hunting spots at 1:30, hunt at 2:30 until dark (exact stopping time will be announced on day of hunt). All people who attend Beulah Church are invited to come eat and attend event, and any non-hunters are invited to hang out at the cabin during hunt. Open to any kids between the ages of 5 and 11 years-old who attend Beulah Church. All entries must have an adult who is over the age of 21 to accompany them on their hunt. All entries and accompanying adults must sign a release form on day of hunt. Limit one buck and one doe per kid. The hunt will be held at Jumper Lake this year, only a few miles from the church. Each participant is asked to bring their own ATV or 4-wheel drive truck if possible, if not then please let hosts know ahead of time so we can try to make arrangements for you. Two Trails Outdoor Camp-Week 10 - Two Trails Park
Get your kids active for the summer with Two Trails Outdoor Camp! Our participants will engage in a variety of activities such as arts, crafts, nature, sports, games and more. Camp will swim two to three times a week and take one to two no n-swimming field trip a week as well. This fun-filled Monday-Friday camp is designed for your child to take part in eleven weeks of recreational activities, swimming, field trips and more. Camp is held out of the Meineke Recreation Center, 220 East Weathersfield Way. Extended care is also offered for an additional fee. Campers are asked to bring a sack lunch and suit everyday, unless specified. Parents will receive a detailed camp calendar prior to the start of camp. Fencing captures the imagination of kids of all ages, but it requires a trained, experienced instructor to learn safely and correctly. The Young Scholars Fencing Program is being run by the coaches of the Central PA Fencing Association. Coach Wes Glon, the Head Coach of the PSU Fencing Team personally trains and hires the coaches for this program. Coach Chuck has 40 years of fencing experience and has been part of the CPFA programs since 2006. Your child will learn the basics of sabre fencing with an emphasis on sportsmanship, safety and history. Learn about the process of taking an idea from concept, to drawing, to a printable 3D model. Students will spend the first part of the course at Ah Haa exploring both geometric and organic drafting by hand and discussing how to create art for the printing process. The course will then move to Pinhead, where students will learn how to turn their art into computerized 3D models using Solidworks.
