LATEST CAMPS NEWS: Non-Resident High Performance Camp (Day Camp Only) - Stanford
A high level gymnastics camp, attending only as a Day Camp, on the Stanford Campus. Open to any and all entrants, this camp is designed primarily for competitive gymnasts, levels 6 through 10. Gymnasts will be grouped by age and competitive experience. This is a unique camp, as it is intended for highly motivated and college bound gymnasts. The High Performance Camp is gymnastics focused with 6-7 hours of training per day. Coached by members of the Stanford Mens Gymnastics Team as well as the Stanford Coaching staff, this camp offers gymnasts the opportunity to raise their skills to the next level. During this camp, the gymnasts will be coached and taught each aspect of training at the highest level. This includes technical coaching on all events, air-sense, execution/presentation, strength and flexibility. Additionally they will be provided insight on the cycling process (assuring peak performance at a specific time), the NCAA Mens Gymnastics program, Stanfords Mens Gymnastics program and being eligible for a collegiate program. The Ford Center Gymnastics Training Facility offers at least two of every apparatus, both over competition landing surfaces and loose foam pits, as well as trampoline, tumble track and spotting belts. Alive Kid's Camp - McKinney, TX
Kid's Camp is just around the corner for kids ages 8-12. We will be headed to the district camp this year, called Alive Kid's Camp. We are looking forward to meeting kids from other churches, having life-changing spiritual experiences during the services, and lot of fun activities during the day. Daytime activities will include: swimming, lake activities, paddleboats, ziplining, rock climbing wall, and messy team games. Teen Camp - Escondido, CA
Projected registration opening date: April 5, 2017 Teen Camp is open to all teens with or without previous experience with mindfulness, meditation, or camping. This is a special time for all teenagers–please come and join! During this retreat, we will come together as brothers and sisters to develop skills that help us learn to be alive in the present moment and to connect deeply with ourselves and others. When we learn to be mindful, a whole new world appears. Activities will include walking meditation, eating in mindfulness, participating in periods of noble silence, sitting meditation, dharma presentations, sharing in groups, Deep Relaxation Meditation, joyful service, games, and hiking. Other activities we may include are morning exercise, drinking tea meditation, and a performance night. We will stay in large tents (around 5 teens per tent). Teen girls will be assigned to a tent in Clarity Hamlet Oak Grove and teen boys to a tent in the Solidity Hamlet Campground. There will be monastic and lay staff members staying in both campgrounds. The monastery will provide tents, but we ask everyone to bring their own sleeping bags and sleeping mats. Participants are expected to attend the entire retreat and all activities. Kids Camp is one of thee most popular camps around the area! Have your child be a part of the camp that has so many great things to offer. This camp will keep your child(ren) of all ages entertained and occupied with games, arts and crafts, sports, themed days/weeks, Munster Community Pool visits, field trips and more! Each week a parent letter and itinerary will be compiled for you to take which will list all activities/trips for that week. These will be available on the sign-in table each week. All camp activities will be held between 9AM-4PM. Parents are able to drop their child(ren) off between 7AM-9AM and pick them up between 4PM-6PM.
