It’s my new year!”–Spirit Quest Teen Camper Spirit Quest for Teens is for 13-17-year-olds, who are moving into young adulthood and who need a safe, nurturing place to reflect on where they have been, where they are going and who they are becoming. Camping together, teens develop deep connections to their selves, their peers, their elders and Nature through --council circles, --team-building games, --nature-awareness activities and hikes, --poetry and art --movement and improv --drumming and journeying --sharing in meal preparation --solo time in nature --fire ceremonies and sweat lodges --mediation and yoga Life-long friendships are formed or deepened; issues of self-esteem and soul work are explored with a true honoring of each teen’s unique path. Teens are invited to camp for the whole week, beginning on Sunday afternoon and ending Saturday at noon to allow for more time together. Tween Camp - Camp Mardela
Campfires, Bible lessons, crafts, nature hikes, recreation and swimming are just the beginning of an activity-filled week for campers who are completing the 5th to 7th grades. Campers will enjoy canoeing and archery. All camp activities are designed to meet the needs of tweens. This is a wonderful opportunity to make new friends and reconnect with those met before. This is a follow-on course for those who have taken the HS Robotics with Arduino or who have prior Arduino experience. Personal Finance 101 - Camp/Workshop Leader: Gardner Barrier Dates: June 27 - July 1 Rising grades: 6 - 9 In this camp your child will work through fun and engaging conversations and games that will start their journey into financial literacy. We will play games that introduce financial topics, we will explore spreadsheet functionality as we design and evaluate plans, and we will learn some basic lessons about how money works. This "camp" will feel at times like a summer seminar, at times like game play, and at times like group analysis. We will be thinking hard, having meaningful conversations, and having a good time. Participants will finish up the week feeling like blinders have been taken off. They will see the world differently. And theyll have fun, too!
