Come experience BYUs 2016 Golf Elite Camp! Join BYU mens golf head coach Bruce Brockbank for five days of exceptional golf among the majestic Wasatch Mountains. The one week camp will feature instruction from current and former college players and coaches who excel at teaching the fundamentals of the game. Afternoon: Robots on the Rampage Join us on an adventure that requires creative thought, time management and team communication as groups build a diverse range of off-road vehicles that battle other robots, race against the clock and play tug of war! This class will discuss drive and follower gears and the various ranges of gear ratios. Can a fast vehicle out perform a robot with lots of power? Here is your chance to learn which gear ratios are associated with speed or torque. Chaos and Havoc rule the day in this ruckus of Robots on the Rampage. Note: Even though between some weekly sessions there might appear the same program names, in our actual education program, we will have different depth of technology and engineering principles to be applied by our children under our inspirational guidance... Musical improv may seem daunting. Well, imagine your very first few rounds of Hot Spot or Freeze Tag. Did you not die and it got easier? You eventually discover the timing and structure of new forms, which allows you to be more present, creative, and/or funny on stage. Once you learn the simplicity behind improvising a catchy pop song, you may even start to embrace that one team member who loves to break into song at some point every single show. This song workshop will bring you through main aspects of pop sensibility (Memorable Choruses, Supportive Verses, Bridges & Structure). Three weeks culminate in an improvised musical experience that has never been done before and will never be done again - save for your audience members humming your tunes on the way out of the theatre Sessions are led by Eric Schackne, iOwests Music Director and house accompanist. Eric has a breadth of experience spanning teaching/performing/studying improv comedy and songwriting/composing/producing, which provides him a progressive approach to the musical improv niche. Summit Football July 25-29 Rising 3rd, 4th & 5th 9am-2pm Campers will learn fundamentals to be successful in football. The morning will focus on drills to improve throwing, catching, running, kicking, punting, as well as offensive and defensive positions. The afternoon will be filled with flag football games to put all of the fundamentals together. Campers would be encouraged to bring sneakers, cleats, shorts, hats, water bottles and a t-shirt. Mr. Mihalko was part of two high school championships and one national championship at the University of Notre Dame under Lou Holtz. The winning is not the focus of this camp.
