Kid's Dance Camp | Ages 6 - 12 - Portland, OR
June 20 – July 1 | Mon – Fri Half Day: 9:00am – 12:00pm | Full Day: 9:00am – 4:00pm June 2016 will kick off our 8th annual Kid’s Dance Camp. Kid’s Camp at Polaris is designed for students ages 6-12 and offers a full or half day experience, Monday through Friday. Camp is a great way for kid’s to have fun while sampling all that Polaris Dance Theatre has to offer. A typical day at Kid’s Camp includes several dances classes of multiple disciplines including Ballet, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Aerial, Tap classes and more! Students also have the opportunity to express their own creativity through improv classes, games and a daily art project. End of camp performances will take place on both Fridays (6/24 & 6/31) at 11:30am and 3:30pm. Have fun reading a required summer reading book in a group setting. With the use of a variety of reading strategies, the course covers the reading of Maniac Magee. Students are asked to purchase the novel prior to the first class. All students should read the first two chapters of the book they are assigned before June 20th. Additional reading at home will be required. This camp was created especially for paddlers who have completed our River Adventures Kayak Camp, or have strong river-running skills. BSDK Sum camp wk 9 Full DAY CAMPER - Baseball Stadium at Devon and Kedzie
LPBA is pleased to announce that we have added a third baseball camp to our summer camp program. This exciting new venue will feature two fields at the former Thillens Stadium, now Baseball Stadium at Devon and Kedzie BSDKS two fields will allow us to divide the campers by age and skill level. We will use field #1 for boys and girls ages 5-7 and field #2 for boys and girls ages 8-13. The camp experience includes a daily exercise and agility training routine followed by instructive drills including base running, pitching, defense, bunting, outfield play, infield play, batting practice and other hitting drills. Camps will be held at BSDK 6404 N. Kedzie and will be conducted by LPBAs professional staff. Guest MLB instructors, past and present major league players, coaches and scouts will be on hand throughout the summer to conduct all-inclusive camp sessions. Camper to coach ratio is 7:1. LPBAs summer camp programs run Monday-Thursday from June 8 though August 28, 2015: Half day sessions from 9 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. – $175 per week Full day sessions from 9 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. – $250 per week Camp registration is on a weekly basis.
