Beyond Your Best Books - Brebeuf Jesuit Preparatory School
This session will allow kids to convert their favorite stories into keepsake crafts using the process of upcycling. This experience will teach the importance of repurposing through creativity while encouraging conversations about the value and importance of literature in our lives. Participants will create several items from old books chosen for this purpose. While creating these items, we will discuss their favorite stories, the most fascinating characters, and why books and upcycling are important. *Participants will need to bring 3 hardback books of their choice; books that are in disrepair or those which would otherwise be recycled are recommended. Favorite childrens books are especially useful. Ms. Suzanne Russell earned her M.S. in Library Science from Indiana University. She is the subject area librarian for Brebeufs Religious Studies and Science departments. She is a former Girl Scout leader; enjoys books, cooking, baking; and loves all things outdoors. Envy (USASF Level 2 Youth) are our future. Athletes ranging in age from 11 years old and younger these kids are exceptional athletes with great skill potential. These team members focus on intermediate level skills, paving their way to a bigger and brighter future for Power House Athletics. The Youth 2 team will have (1) three hour. Ocean Life - Art of the Sea (P.M.) with Ansley Young - Westerly Creek Elementary (Art Room)
Teachers: Ansley Young and Pam Peters From puffer fish to starfish, we will make an ocean of fun from giant coffee filters, watercolors, sharpies, tempera paint, watercolors, patterned papers and more. We will engage in conversations about sea animals and read stories about their lives and habitats. Enjoy your childs art when its on display the last day of camp. Knights and Princesses on Parade - Old Trail School
Proudly announcing a summer camp filled with magical things for every princess and knight! From kissing frogs, sitting on peas, to slaying dragons, campers will engage in many fun and exciting opportunities. Building castles, creating magic fairy dust, crafting a coat of arms, and designing a custom knight/princess costume are just some of the excitement this camp has to offer. We will cover all the knight and princess essentials, especially kindness and manners. The week will conclude with a Fairytale Festival for families and siblings to showcase the weeks creations!
