This is for 12-14 year olds with experience hitting the ball and playing on the golf course. These juniors are on a path to play high school golf. Casper Recreation Center was a life saver for my 10 year old daughter. Since my husband and I both have busy careers, we needed something fun for her to do during school breaks. Acting and Auditioning Studio Workshop - The Georgetown Palace Theatre
This 3 week workshop puts an in depth focus on the skills needed to succeed in theatre and performance. Working with professional performers, directors, and teaching artists, students will receive instruction in Acting, Vocals, and Dance including: -script analysis -improvisation -monologue technique -physicality -breaking down lyrics -finding the story of the song -basics of a professional musical theatre audition -choosing songs that showcase YOU -finding a 16-bar cut -working with an accompanist -stretching and warm up -basics of musical theatre dance -moving like a dancer -dance auditions (how to make it out alive) The workshop culminates in a feedback audition to introduce you to local theatre professionals on Friday night as well as a student designed performance of skills on Saturday morning.
