1st Session - Vocal Performance - YSCP
Club Description: The Vocal Performance Club is for students who really love to sing and who would like to develop their skills further. The class includes group singing (choir) but also emphasizes vocal technique with individual attention. Students, who feel ready for a challenge beyond group singing, will be encouraged and supported in their preparation for solo presentations. Repertoire will be chosen according to the abilities of the students, including folk songs, songs from movies and musicals, jazz favorites, and art songs. Older students are, especially, encouraged to enroll. Goals for February to May include developing students individual vocal technique and exploring repertoire which will highlight the abilities of each. The class will also prepare for presentations at school events and other opportunities.
