This week long camp is home to children ages 5 to 16. My daughter spends 2 weeks of every summer at this camp. Counselors from all over the globe come to teach campers swimming, archery, exploring nature, digital photography, rock climbing, hiking, canoeing, survivor skills, leadership skills and horseback riding. Just Cruising Equestrian Center Summer Camp Week 1 - Kingdom City, MO
Send your child to our day camps for a great learning opportunity with experienced and dedicated staff, amazing horses, and lots of hands-on crafts and activities! Students will help with care of the horses (feeding, watering, pasture turnout, stall cleaning, etc.) and learn about horse anatomy, colors, breeds, conformation, and tack. The last day of camp includes a mini horse show for parents to come watch what their kids have been learning throughout the week. All levels of riders are welcome, even if students have never ridden before. The cost of the summer camp is $350. A $100 deposit is required to reserve a spot. Camp runs from 8:00 am to 4 pm. It’s my new year!”–Spirit Quest Teen Camper Spirit Quest for Teens is for 13-17-year-olds, who are moving into young adulthood and who need a safe, nurturing place to reflect on where they have been, where they are going and who they are becoming. Camping together, teens develop deep connections to their selves, their peers, their elders and Nature through --council circles, --team-building games, --nature-awareness activities and hikes, --poetry and art --movement and improv --drumming and journeying --sharing in meal preparation --solo time in nature --fire ceremonies and sweat lodges --mediation and yoga Life-long friendships are formed or deepened; issues of self-esteem and soul work are explored with a true honoring of each teen’s unique path. The rookie program offers repetition and teaches FUN-damental instruction for each player to allow the player to build a solid foundation. Lower baskets are used to reinforce proper shooting techniques and for players to build confidence in themselves. Step into the shoes of a Coffee Shop performer! Explore how to perform through the eyes of a musician as you learn the fundamentals of guitar, singing, drums, keys, and other instruments. Campers will learn to sing, play common chord progressions and use their talents to perform in under a coffee shop setting. As such, the camp staff will be comprised solely of current and former collegiate coaches. This camp will focus on high-level training, strategy and technique. It will not provide instruction on basic skills. A letter of recommendation from your coach is not required, but players are encouraged to consult their coaches to determine if this camp is appropriate. Our students of all ages will learn songs that take us on a journey through the jungle with Mogli and Baloo and the classic characters. This camp will integrate classic and contemporary scenes, songs, dances both from from the movie and beyond into our own version of The Jungle Book! In visual arts, they will explore sets, costumes, and prop elements this engaging tale of growing up and friendship! Camp will end in an informal presentation to showcase the fun had camp!
