District Youth Fall Retreat - Mount Morris, IL
Save the date - We will be staying at the retreat lodge (and log cabin if needed) for our fall retreat. Fellowship with other youth in the district, interesting sessions, and an opportunity to help the camp out by raking leaves at the district wide leaf raking service project (Saturday starting at 8 am). Cost $40 - no charge for Advisor. Please contact Ralph Miner if cost is an issue.
Photography Kids - Teen Day Camp - Bandy, VA
Photography kids - teen day camp. age 7 and up May 7 2016.The cost is $60.00 they get a cute bag and tee shirt, and lunch that day. They need a camera any kind it dont matter just as long as it takes photos. they get a small photo session that day also. We will be hiking and taking photos enjoying the day. The minni session you will receave up to 5 differnt poses with a cd to print them from and copyright. ( take a week to get the cd back) The Cost is $60.00 cash based or credit card with pay pal. Money has to be paid by April 16th 2016 if it rains we will rescheduel and if you cant make the rescheduel date we can do a photo session with the child that is signed up at a lator day. if you can not come for some reason their is no refunds you will receave the tee shirt and bag. you are responable for dropping kids off and pick up is no later than 2pm. Learn about the rich history, traditions, accomplishments, and current life in China. Campers will approach the country in a variety of ways, through geography, customs, cuisine, art, music, religion, and architecture. The class cumulates with a Chinese feast! 773-881-6700 x256
Teens Golf! Level 2 - Chuck Corica Golf Complex
This is for 12-14 year olds with experience hitting the ball and playing on the golf course. These juniors are on a path to play high school golf. If your junior is motivated they then can join one of our practice and playing squads and continue to be coached and even play in fun competitions around the Bay Area. This session includes: speed/ agility, field session, functional training, small sided games, 11 vs 11, indoor session. Campers should sign-in at 8:00 am on the field. Campers should bring their own lunch, or money for lunch. Campers should bring a ball, shin guards, cleats/indoor shoes (tennis shoes), and a water bottle. IMPORTANT: Students need to bring their own laptop with mouse to attend this program. Snacks, Lunch, and beverages are NOT included. The program may be consolidated in one or two school sites based on enrollments. Parents will be informed at least one week prior to program start date. In this program, students learn about 3-D Printing, Vehicle engineering by rapid prototyping, and Computer Programming. They work in teams to build their own battery operated cars and race it on the final day. They learn 3-D modeling tools to make their own 3-D designs. Students will - 1. Learn how an engineer takes an idea from paper to a prototype. 2. Learn what is CAD/CAM and how it is used by Engineers. 3. Develop a design solution using given design constraints. 4. Evaluate competing conceptual design solutions for decision making 5. Plan and execute experiment; Collect and interpret data gathered by experiments; Use experimental data for an improved design solution 6. Learn about 3-D printing. Students who attend 3-D print class will take home a 3-D printed design prototype. 7. Learn Visual Programming and coding skills. 650-223-1641
