Kid's Summer Yoga Camp - Canby, OR
Balance and Harmony is happy to announce our first summer yoga camp for children ages 3-5. This camp will introduce your child to basic yoga poses and breathing exercises through story, songs and games. Each class will also include a creative activity that reinforces our yoga practice. Children will bring a packed snack and we will enjoy time outside at Wait Park. Taught by Sherry Wolfson. Sherry holds a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and a 200 hour Yoga Teaching Certificate. She began teaching preschool and special education over 30 years ago and has taught yoga to preschoolers at Childswork Learning Center in Portalnd for the past 3 years. Classes will be held for 5 weeks (July 1st - 29th) on Wednesdays from 1:00-4:00. Fee-$150 for all 5 days. Pure Gravity Fitness's Annual Kid's Circus Camp!! For kids ages 6-12. We'll be exploring movement and the many aspects of circus performance. This will include learning tricks on aerial apparatuses, tumbling, balance, hula hoop and juggling, costuming and circus history. This camp is designed for kids to discover movement, foster creativity, and most importantly have FUN!! It is a three-day camp running the last week in June, Monday Wednesday and Friday from 9am to Noon. Cost is $85 for all three days and includes all activities and a snack! Creative techniques will also be introduced to help enhance their skills and imaginations! Students are required to bring their own SD card to each class. Class Schedule: 10-10:30- In class demo 10:30-11- walk to location 11-12:30- shooting on location 12:30-1- lunch 1- 1:30- walk back to classroom 1:30- 2- Printing best shots of the day Monday: Students will be introduced to their cameras and photography basics. After the presentation we will walk to the Space needle to work on composition assignments. Back in class students will print their 3 best shots of the day. Deaf Film Camp for Girls (Ages 12-16) - Camp Mark 7
Camp Mark Seven offers many development and leadership activities for the deaf youth and children programs. The program is designed to provide a sense of caring for one other, honesty, respect as well as enhancing each campers self confidence, self esteem, social skills, teamwork, initiative, work and play with other campers and camp staff. With this goal, campers will have fun with diverse camp activities. Program activities: Swimming and tubing. Paddle a canoe on the chosen rivers/lakes and camp out under the stars. Low ropes course. Diverse outdoor games. Arts & crafts. Hike different mountains. Evening Bonfires. Shopping in Old Forge and Inlet. Adventure Horse Camp for girls wanting immerse oneself into horsemanship, horse play, trail riding and horse care as well as many other fun activities.
