LATEST CAMPS NEWS: Beginning Burlesque with Sasha Sullivan - Ah Haa School for the Arts
Burlesque is a celebration of femininity. Women of all ages come together for a fun-filled journey into this incredible art form, ultimately empowering their creative, sensual, feminine beings. Telluride Theatres own Sasha Sullivan and Melissa Harris, who have been teaching burlesque classes for four years, are excited take new students on an eight-week journey into the world of burlesque. They will start with the basics – the history, dance moves, striptease, creating a character, and owning your space. Students will develop their very own burlesque character and walk away with a full routine, a set of pasties, and a portrait. At the close of the class, some students will be chosen to perform at BURLESQUE, a live variety show on the Sheridan Opera House stage at the end of March, a benefit for Telluride Theatre. Youth Aquatics Holiday Camp (Dec. 19 - Jan. 6) - Sarasota, FL
Nathan Benderson Park's Youth Aquatics Holiday Camp gives your child the opportunity to learn on the lake! Campers will learn to kayak, row, dragon boat, stand up paddleboard, RC sailboat control, and powerboat safety. 3 sessions are offered to meet the needs of your family: Week 1: December 19 - 22 Week 2: December 27 - 30 Week 3: January 3 - 6 Camp runs from 9AM to noon each day Ages 10 to 18 $120 for a one week session (Before and after care are available for an additional fee) Each day your child will receive morning instruction on land before going on the water. Campers must wear sandals with heel straps, dress in layers, bring a healthy snack, water bottle, hat and SUNSCREEN. Certain age restrictions apply for boaters safety course. Chris Dudley Basketball Camp - Chris Dudley Basketball Camp
Chris Dudley Basketball outdoor camp accepts boys and girls between the ages of 10 through 17 who have an interest in basketball and also have type 1 diabetes. We have 45 staff members to oversee our campers diabetes needs and basketball skills to help them strive toward achieving their dreams and goals. Our staff consists of two endocrinologists, day and night nurses, a trained dietitian, sixteen day/night counselors, eleven coaches and other important staff to oversee camp. Because we are limiting the camp to 75 participants, campers will receive a lot of individual attention to improve their game, achieve their goals and teach them how to manage their diabetes while playing an intensive sport. 5033490073.0
