Bike Hike - Vasona Lake County Park
Biology and ecology is as easy as riding a bike! Use your bike as a vehicle to explore and learn more about our local environment. The trails in and near Vasona Park will reveal critical features of our watershed and interesting aspects of our local and natural history. Practice and improve your riding skills and learn trail etiquette and bicycle safety. Also delve into the mechanics of various bike parts with hands-on experiments. Music Theater Camp - Ohlook Performing Arts Center
Our most popular camp every summer! We provide a comprehensive program of intensive classes in a wide variety of theater performing arts, each taught by a working professional in that field. Students train for 3 weeks, five days a week, in the 3 disciplines of musical theater - dance, music, and acting in addition to rehearsing a full musical which will culminate in one of our main stage productions. Developing the ability to sustain concentration throughout the process is one of the most important skills that students take away from the program. Along with the daily basic skills work, students will learn and grow attending separate workshops such as audition preparation, bringing songs to life, how to conquer your nerves and life in the business from professionals that are IN the business! This camp is for the serious singing actor. You will work with professionals from the local DFW stages as well as Broadway and Opera! Beginning Hands on Clay - UWF Main Campus
Clay is a great way to have fun and get creative. No experience needed. Students will be introduced to techniques with hand building and throwing basic forms on the potters wheel. They will create dynamic surface decorations using glazes, slips and applied elements. Please wear clothes you dont mind getting dirty and bring a towel. Camps will include all necessary supplies.
