LATEST CAMPS NEWS: 7-12 Owl Pride Team Football Camp - SHS Stadium
Owl Pride Team Camp is for all student-athletes interested in playing football who will be in grades 7-12 during the 2016-2017 school year. Campers should bring athletic wear and football cleats to camp. Pre-registered campers will receive a camp shirt and water bottle. Walk-up registration will be accepted, but shirts and water bottles will not be guaranteed and will be provided on a first come, first served basis. This is not your typical day camp! Kids learn how to get big jobs done and earn big rewards through our framework of barn, garden, and community activities. Our mixture of work, learning, and play develops character, leadership, and real-world skills. Kids start the morning cleaning stalls and doing other jobs, then have a well-supervised fellowship lunch, then ride or do other horse activities in the afternoon. For the kids that are interested in doing other things doing the horsemanship time, we have interesting building or maintenance projects as well as gardening. Sometimes we have someone come share an aspect of their career, or we will go on a field trip to a business, and sometimes we need to go pick up hay or other donations as part of the camp day. Toward the end of the day as parents arrive, we usually do a short devotion that gives kids the chance to tell how they illustrated a positive characteristic that day. Parents and kids should attend a 90-minute tour and orientation prior to enrolling, you just call us and schedule a time. Come for 1 or 2 weeks! All students will receive their own DAE 8GB flash drive to store their work on and take home. Previous knowledge of the basics of computer science or a programming language are recommended. This course will explore taking programming off of the computer screen. An Arduino Microcontroller will be used together with Processing code to create interactive programs. These programs will have visual components from Processing and physical components from the Arduino such as buttons, light switches, LEDs, motors and more. 9146448100.0
Panther Play - Multi-Sports Camp - Seattle Preparatory School
This course will consist of a wide variety of games. Campers will enjoy competing against both themselves and one another. They will play everything from kickball to lawn bowling, ultimate Frisbee to a milk-carton derby and we will even try our hand at an American Ninja Warrior-style obstacle course. Instructor Matt Butler is a Prep teacher with years of experience coaching both boys basketball and girls volleyball.
