As most of you know, the chapel honors the memory of Julia Brandenburg, daughter of KMM missionaries, Scott and Amy Brandenburg. Chapel services were Julia’s favorite activity at Youth Haven and while she was able to enjoy only one summer as a camper before her passing in 2012, countless children will continue to hear the gospel message in the new chapel in the years to come. Although there may be work yet to be done, the building will be dedicated for God’s use and glory on May 21. If you plan to attend, please contact us by May 9, as this will help in our preparation for the event. If you have prayed, sent a gift for the project, donated materials and/or worked on the new chapel, we would love to have you join us! Please come celebrate and give praise with us!

Description: Have a blast while exploring the fields, forests, and streams at Blue Jay Point. We will learn about mammals, insects, reptiles and amphibians as we hike, do crafts, and play games. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Critter Capers is a three-day half-day mini-camp at Blue Jay Point County Park for children ages 6-8. All participants should wear play clothes, closed-toe shoes (like sneakers or day hikers) and bring weather appropriate outerwear to each camp session. Prepare for each camp day by bringing a filled water bottle, a simple snack and applying your favorite sunscreen and bug spray. Players will receive individual instruction which will be reinforced by match play later in the morning. We will focus on stroke mechanics, playing strategies, and conditioning. Students will learn how to create images of themselves while making self-portraits. They will practice close observation with mirrors as well as correct use of proportion, shading, and tone.
