Incoming 5th and 6th graders will learn the basic usage and safety of HAND TOOLS including a coping saw, file, sanding block, and cordless drill. Some small machines may be used such as the scroll saw, spindle sander, Dremel engraver, and drill press. All activities will be demonstrated and supervised by Mr. Caris, the current Woodworking teacher at NBJH. Students will choose a project from a beginner list. Parents, looking for a place to send the older kids? Camp Jam is extending an awesome invitation for volunteers ages 14-18 to help out with daily rountines for the younger campers. Volunteers also gain experience teaching classes and building life long confidence and leadership skills. Volunteers receive free weekly tuition but must make a commitment to attend camp daily. Camp will take place from 9am-4pm with early drop off and late pickup at an additional $5 per day Camp Jam hosts daily drop-ins for $25 per day and half days for $15 per day. Camp Jam is located at 4485 Fulton Industrial Blvd Suite B, at the Macnificent Events center. Sports Teen Camp - Brandon, FL
Campers ages 15 to 18 try out different sports and learn teamwork and gain independence in diabetes care. The campers stay at Rotary’s Camp Florida, in Brandon and bus to different venues each day. Activities are under the direction of various college coaches or certified instructors and include martial arts, volleyball, soccer, water skiing, golf, basketball, tennis, and softball. Planned night activities include roller skating, bowling, and a night at Tropicana Stadium watching the Devil Rays.

We will be volunteering with Publicolor and painting in a school in Brooklyn. They are awesome! Make sure to wear clothes that can get paint on them and bring forms and $10 for lunch.

This course will focus on choral work and youll dive deeper into the art of listening as you build harmonies layered with solo moments. Song selection will come from around the globe as you discover your own creative singing voice. Youll be training like a professional through serious voice warm ups and voice manipulation while you sing through music genres such as the blues, rock, pop, gospel and vocal jazz. Youll work on stage presence and mic control as you figure out & break down what makes a great performance - which together youll create for a grand last day finale. All levels of singers, welcome! Setter/Libero Camp is designed to teach players the basic fundamentals of their specific position. This day camp covers all the aspects of setter/libero training and will provide campers with many drills and exercises that they can do at home. The camp caters to beginning setters/liberos and the most experienced setters/liberos at the high school level. Sunflowers are a joyful symbol of summer. These North American native Asters can light up both a field and face. In this camp we will dive into what makes these instantly recognizable flowers so amazing, and unlock some secrets they may hold in their heads. Through careful observation and sunny inspiration we will complete several sunflower themed projects using mixed media.
