Teen Plein Air: Art In Motion Camps #1 & 2 - Bow, WA
Choose from Camp #1 July 11th-15th or Camp #2 July 18th-July 22nd. Class Cost per week $87.50. Camp #1: 3:00pm-5:00pm -- Plein Air (**Students encouraged to participate in Part I & II) "Examining our surroundings in detail, seeing beauty not only in the spectacular but also in the smallest growing things" (Lowenfeld) . In addition to work in our cozy studio, small Plein-Air outings will be held at 2 locations during this one week workshop. Students will learn how to connect with their surroundings. Students develop their observation skills and increase their knowledge about the world around them. Parents expected to drive students to the Plein-Air location specified prior to class. Camp #2: 3:00pm-5:00pm -- Plein Air II: Art In Motion This is a stand alone class of can be the second step to week 1. This week will focus on gesture drawing, composition, and how to record what you see when it’s moving. There will be a short lesson with a slide show of Degas and after some skills in the studio are absorbed we will visit the dance studio and draw the dancers in motion! We will also design, draw, and paint a rollercoaster bringing the element of architecture into art! At the end of Week 2 there will be an artist...
Fall Softball Camp - Linton Youth League Sports Complex
We are pleased to announce a one day Fall Softball Camp open to players from 5 years of age to 8th grade. The camp will be held at the Linton Youth Complex on Saturday September 5th. This camp will be conducted by The Indiana Tribe coaches and staff and is open to everyone regardless of skill level and where a player lives. Players will be divided into age groups and we will focus on fundamental softball skills, game knowledge, and we will have fun doing it. Cost is $10/player and will include a lunch of a hot dog, chips and a drink. Players will be divided up in the afternoon for games and skills competitions. Camp times are from 9am-3pm. A separate instructional pitching time will be available from 4-6pm. Cost for the pitching clinic will be $5/player if you attended the camp or $10/player if the player is only attending the pitching clinic. We will focus on beginning pitching mechanics and drills. Ages 7 years to 8th grade are welcome. Registration is available the day of the event, but you are encouraged to pre-register via our Facebook Event post or by calling or texting Greg Elliott at 812.798.0174.

Join us for the Effingham Winter Camp! Follow the link above to register or see your youth leader. Cost is $15 each and can be given to your youth leader. That will cover meals, snacks, and activities. Please bring a sleeping bag, pillow, warm clothes, and one roll of duck tape. We will be creating a cardboard city. Any needed medication can be given to the "camp nurse" who will hold and adminster. Parents, please send written directions. We will be collecting NEW socks for people in need. For every pair of new socks, your name will be entered into a draw for a $100 gift card to the Tanger Outlet mall! Start collecting socks for women, men, or children! Opti Race (Session 1 AM) - NESS
Prerequisite: Opti Green Fleet/instructor recommendation Students will work on more advanced boat handling techniques, including roll tacks and jibes, and will be introduced to more racing tactics, strategies and techniques. Sailors will learn what it takes to progress to the next level of Opti racing and will be expected to compete in local Opti regattas where Red, White and Blue fleets are formed by age. Having your own racing level Opti is an advantage at this stage and students are encouraged to bring their own boats. All students will be under the supervision of our race coach in class and at specific local regattas. Last summer we supported and coached our sailors in 7 local day-long Opti regattas and expect to support about the same number of events this year. Regatta fees are not included. 860-535-9362
PM DemiGod Day Camp - Bethany Christian School Campus
Are you ready to live like a Greek God? Well, maybe not quite THAT great, but we WILL be experiencing how the Ancient Greeks lived, in the spirit of the Percy Jackson books! Camp participants (DemiGods) will create maps, Wear Greek clothing, play capture the flag - Greek style, write names in ancient Greek, make banners recognizing their own unique abilities, eat the food of the Gods of Olympus, and battle it out to the death with hand made Greek weapons! Here at Camp Whetstone our mission is simple...for kids to have a safe, fun, learning experience each and every week. Each week we will have a new theme that will correlate with the different activities and programs scheduled. Our campers always look forward to the large variety of field trips every summer, which could include: the Columbus Zoo, Zoombezi Bay, Columbus Clippers game, ice skating, Metro Parks, gem mining and swimming at Tuttle Pool. (Some events and trips may require an additional fee to be paid, in cash, at the beginning of each week.) So, lets make new friends and lifelong memories together, at the always exciting, Camp Whetstone! Theme: Health & Safety Flexible drop off time between 7:15-9 am. A summer at Teen Times camp is filled with activities such as sports, swimming, crafts and fun! Teens will take an active role in planning their daily schedules. Field trips will be twice a week (usually Wednesdays and Fridays). We will be swimming at the pool two afternoons a week so campers should bring a swimsuit, towel and lunch daily, unless otherwise noted. GRADES 6th - 8th LOCATION Activity Room
