Bio: I have been at Young Scholars of Central Pennsylvania since its inception in August of 2005. Teaching is my passion. It is exciting to see students learn and grow academically and gain social skills. I have enjoyed teaching 5th and 4th grade as a lead classroom teacher over the years. I have also taught Physical Education, Turkish and Character Education for both elementary and middle school students. Intro: In Turkish Conversation Club, we will use a variety of games and activities to promote Turkish language skills. In addition, students who are interested in Turkish Language Olympiad will have the opportunity to practice and prepare. Open to students taking Turkish as an elective (grades-6, 7, 8) 8142379727.0

Teens, you are invited to join us the Winter Teen Camp! This year’s theme is “authentic” and we will be focusing on how to live authentically as children of our Creator. Our culture is talking a lot about what it means to be “true”, “real”, and “you”. What does it mean to really live as were made to live? How can we embrace God’s vision for our lives and fight against the pull to just go with the flow? Our prayer is that your teenagers will return home with more passion to live for God than ever before. It is our desire that any teen that would like to join us for the Winter Teen Camp is able to. Tuesday - Make Real Stuff! 3D Modeling - HoLa Lower School
Make real stuff - Think it and build it! TinkerCAD is an easy-to-learn cloud-based technology that lets you create 3D models to later 3D print or export to Minecraft. Students have fun while learning spatial thinking. The instructor Nicola Hoelz is a professional graphic artist and has studied 3D modeling and animation. The school will provide the laptops and internet access. At signup, please provide one parents email address for an account at Autodesk 123D. During the first one or two club meetings we will follow the online lessons, learning to navigate and create models. Once everyone is comfortable with the software, each student can produce their own designs. Each club day will start with a short tutorial for inspiration. (201) 427-1458

Lil Sluggers N Kiddie Kickers Camp - Ackerman Sports and Fitness Center
Time for some t-ball and kickball! This camp will combine these two, fun common sports. Kids will learn the similarities of these sports, how both are properly played and learn the basic fundamentals of both. Running the bases, throwing, catching and fielding skills that are similar to both sports will be taught. Boys and girls will also learn the fundamentals that are unique to t-ball and kickball like hitting off of the tee and kicking the ball. Games will be played each day with an emphasis on teamwork and good sportsmanship. Each participant should bring a water bottle. SportsKids Inc. staff will teach the camp. Summer Camp @ Victory Park Group C (9-10) - City of Pasadena
Join one of Pasadenas most popular summer camps! Victory Parks Camp has earned its longstanding reputation as a high-quality, fun, affordable, enriching program. Each day begins with a morning pep rally that sets the stage for an action-packed day. Activities include outdoor play, dance, arts and crafts, including painting, sculpting, lanyard making and chalk drawings, fitness activities and enrichment. Enrichment classes include health, hygiene and first aid instruction, cooking classes, computer and robotics play and specialized sports instruction in tennis and golf. Campers spend at least two hours daily doing physical fitness in the form of choreographed dance, group games, fitness competitions, team sports and supervised free play. Campers are escorted across the park to Pasadena High School?s swimming pool for recreational swim two times per week. Camp counselors go into the water with the campers and well-trained, certified lifeguards are always present. Before entering the pool, campers receive a water safety lesson. Optional swimming lessons available for an additional $20/week. Most field trip fees are included in the weekly fee. Fun field trips are often the highlight of the week. Field trip fees are included in camps costs, but campers may need spending money for some trips....
