OUTDOOR YOUTH DAY - West Palm Beach, FL
Outdoor Youth Day is February 4,2017 at the Everglades Youth Camp 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. This will be the Florida Sportsmens Conservation Association 14th Annual Outdoor Youth Day Event and It’s FSCA bigiest day of the year. This event has buggy rides, airboat rides, pony rides, and canoeing, archery, gun range instruction, fishing and wildlife shows to reach kids of all ages and show them the benefits of being outdoors instead of in front of a TV. This annual event had over 1,000 participants that came last year and over 100 volunteers that worked the whole day. Please call Caroll at 561 795-1375 for more information.
Teen Power Camp Begins Tuesday, 1 December! :) - Apollo Beach, FL
It's here! The Fall edition of our Teen Power Camp provides a fundamental fitness foundation for any high school student, scaled to anyone from first timers just trying to get into shape to high school athletes looking for structured off-season training or additional in-season work. The Teen Power Program will introduce athletes to bodyweight exercises, gymnastics, powerlifting and basic olympic weightlifting, all while under the close supervision of a certified CrossFit instructor. Our goal is to teach local Teens how to safely and efficiently move their body and external objects (bars, kettlebells, medicine balls, etc) through space, dramatically improving body composition and improving athletic ability in anyone. Our program is designed to increase stamina, strength, power, endurance, coordination, balance, accuracy and flexibility in any person, all while in a team environment filled with positive people. Every workout is scaled to ANY teens capacity. Teens must be at least 13 years of age and emotionally mature. Cost is $119 per month for children of Apogee members and $139 for children of non-Apogee members Class runs 330-430pm every Tuesday and Thursday. Interested? Camp RAHH will host attendees, counselors & instructors over a three-day weekend this Summer (June 5-7) on a 47-acre site in Samish Island, WA which boasts dense forest, expansive grasslands and private beaches that stretch along Padilla Bay. In addition to classic camp lodging like cabins, tree-houses & huts, there will be ample facilities for group gatherings, communal dining & recreation of all kinds. We live in a Global Society and must teach our girls to function accordingly. This is a week filled with authentic global experiences. Girls will learn about different cultures, food, language and traditions. They will participate in our Global Pen Pal program and learn what their international peers experience on a daily basis. Girls will be divided into 2 groups: 7-9 & 10-13.
