Guard Basics - Next Level Gym
Guard Basics is the first of 3 programs under the Guard Development Series. Designed to help athletes develop the skills needed for a guard to be successful, both mentally and physically. Guard Basics will focus on Guard role and responsibilities, ball handling, passing, change of direction, bait and pass, shooting, etc. Each player will understand spacing, handling pressure and attacking the rim. Once players complete this program they will be able to enroll in the second program under the Guard Development Series - Playing the Position. Program consists of 6 - 1 hour sessions. CAMP DETAILS Musical Theater Week Thank you for the music! In this camp, students will have fun exploring their own personal voices through songs and dances from various musicals! In addition to drama and improv games that foster theater skills in creativity, self-expression and teamwork, campers will create their own show that incorporates songs from their favorite musicals. Throughout the week we will also work together to create prop, costume and set pieces to use in our culminating original show that highlights our collaborative efforts! Children spending the full day with us should bring a sack lunch for our lunch break at the park Moving Stories Week In this camp, we will explore a variety of childrens literature through story dramatization. Students will play drama games, sing songs, create puppets, write their own poems inspired by books and act out their favorite stories. Be your own stop-motion animator and director. Learn the ins and outs of stop-motion animation, filming, and 3D printing technology. Work as a team to choose your characters, write your script, build your set with the help of 3D printing technology, and film your movie. Growing Scientists: Animal Adventures Why are some animals furry and others feathered? How does a snail move? What does an owl eat? Have an up close and personal encounter with some of the animals at CuriOdyssey and learn about their amazing adaptations such as how they eat, where they sleep, and where to find them in nature. Go on an adventure to find tiny creatures living around Coyote Point Recreation Area. The world of animals will be revealed in this wild and wooly, slippery and scaly camp!
