Kid's Culinary Day Camp at LeTourneau is a wonderful opportunity for kids ages five to thirteen to experience the culinary arts in an exciting and safe Christian environment. Kids Culinary Day Camp includes all of the following exciting aspects of the culinary arts: an introduction to the culinary arts, food safety, cooking, food tastings, crafts and games. We also offer a Bible Study time to explore how God uses "food" to teach us eternal truths. Kids ages five to eight will meet Monday through Thursday from 9:00 am until 11:30 am. Explore art together with a parent/adult, and create collaborations in a playful, expressive environment. Fall harvest, autumn colors, leaves and pumpkins will motivate and inspire projects. Sizzling Music, Latin Dance & Culture Adventure Week We make it easy for our campers to learn the basic dance steps of traditional dances of Columbia, Bolivia, Ecuador, Perú, Chile & more. Campers gain geographical, cultural and artistic awareness of South American countries through exposure to their music, food and dance forms. Additionally campers learn how to move to new rhythms. No prior dance training required. Campers play active & quiet games, create, sing songs, act, dance, cook, play sports and discover the joys of learning Spanish through engaging activities. Theme vocabulary includes colors, counting, verbs, nouns related to instruments, adjectives, sounds, tastes and places. Campers learn common Spanish words & phrases for movements, directions & parts of the body while getting in shape to lively music. Celebration Day Wed. (participation optional) Global Trek Day Come to camp wearing the colors of your favorite Latin American countrys flag and decorate your own passport. During camper choice time visit each countrys slice of life table and earn your passport stamp by trying out new activities and sampling some more of their culture Notes: There may be options for arranging late pick up the same day. 04 Summer Fun Camp 3 Ages 5-12 - Middle School
Camp will meet from Noon-5:30pm on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday; and at 7:00-5:30pm on Friday. Activities will include: arts and crafts, passive games,educational games, group activity games, sports, strength and conditioning, rhythms, and free play. There will be swimming from 4:00-5:00pm in the Middle School pool. Activities will be geared for children 5-12 years of age. Bring a snack, swim suit and towel. Campers should report to the HS cafeteria and enter door #29 on days that camp starts at Noon. Campers will be escorted to the MS Gym after lunch by camp counselors. When camp begins at 7:00 am campers should report to the Middle School Gym and enter through door #36 In order to register for this activity, you must first click to open the participation waiver and then place your initials in the left box to confirm that you read and agree. You must also read the Parent/ Athlete concussion agreement in the text and check the box underneath to provide confirmation that you have read, understand and agree to the new concussion information. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Parent/Guardian must initial for anyone under 18 years old.
