Students will learn different aspects of line, shadow, volume, and composition by working from drawings of the Masters - still life and plein air. Create beautiful still lifes and plein air landscape paintings from photos, models, and nature. Students will discover how to create strong compositions, design, and light effects while developing their personal style. 703-444-5888

A more challenging 6 day/five night camp experience. Campers will travel to the Sipsey Wilderness in Northern Alabama to do hiking, camping, and experience beautiful scenery. Join us as YSI supports your quest for knowledge using hands-on science activities to discover interesting facts about the world around you. Discover how rocks are formed and practice rock sorting like a geologist. Take a closer look at snails and other animals with shells. Work as scientists to investigate spores and learn the mysteries behind mold by putting together an experiment to watch mold grow in a safe enclosed environment. As we move through our investigations extend your land-based quest and look to the sky and experiment with wind and learn the science of how clouds form. In addition to doing daily science activities we will have the opportunity to explore different park habitats, play games, and engage in fun craft projects. 408-827-5507
