LATEST CAMPS NEWS: PA, Allentown; Winter Uprising Faceoff Days - Iron Lakes Sports Club
Each Winter Uprising Faceoff Days will consist of warm ups, presentation and group practice of specific faceoff techniques as well as real time faceoffs. Faceoff techniques will include footwork, stance, hand position, primary move, counter move, GB play, wing play, stick work, and shooting instruction, etc. Individual player observation and instruction will occur throughout. Clinic will conclude with a skill appropriate king of the hill. Players will be split in groups based on age/skill if necessary. 6 Clinic Dates and Times: Thur 1/14 - 8-9 PM Thur 1/21 - 8-9 PM Thur 1/28 - 8-9 PM Thur 2/4 - 8-9 PM Thur 2/11 - 8-9 PM Thur 2/18 - 8-9 PM Location: 360 Soccer, 50 Senn Dr, Chester Springs PA 19425 Ages: All ages welcomed, talent will be split into different ages/abilities. Our summer comedy camps attract students from all over the world to learn improv, make friends, and perform on our stage! Monday through Friday 9am - 3:30pm Students are grouped by ages 8-10, 11-13, and 14-18. No previous experience is needed. Camp ends with a free show where the students show off what theyve learned! Each day, the students rotate through three subjects: ?Improv: An Intro to the rules of Improv; saying yes, working together, listening, and having fun. ?Sketch Comedy: An intro to the basics of writing sketch comedy scenes. ?Musical Improv: Learn to spontaneously put words to music. Partnering with Techsplosion here at BASIS Independent Silicon Valley, come explore the world of Minecraft with us! Junior Minecrafters will have tons of fun as they learn the basics of the world famous game. Well learn about the different game modes, how to craft some crazy contraptions, and even build an awesome house together! In between sessions of computer time, well do other fun Minecraft stuff like papercraft, a camp-made costume party, outdoor games, and on Friday, a Minecraft potluck party! AFTERNOON SESSION ONLY (12:45pm - 3:30pm) Camps are co-ed, 4th - 8th grades (based on the 2016-17 school year). This all day camp is designed for the serious basketball player who wants to make a school or travel team, move up a level on a travel team, or firm up their spot on an existing team. This camp is designed to prepare you for tryouts by giving you the skills and confidence to perform at your highest level. Each day a peak performance discussion topic will be covered to give the campers the insights they need to stay healthy, focused, and confident. Topics will include nutrition, conditioning and stretching, as well as tips on how to deal with the mental side of competitive basketball. Scrimmages will be used daily so that participants can utilize the skills theyve learned. These camps will be conducted by the professional training staff of the 43 Hoops Basketball Academy. Player to trainer ratio will be 8:1 or less.
