Students design characters and form tribes to take on creative and survival challenges. Imagination and improv meet problem-solving and ingenuity in this day of limitless role-playing possibilities. Trained game masters from NuMinds and Creative Role Play Academy help guide participants safely through the MERP (Massively Epic Role Play) experience. Quickly learn the rules of MERP and get the guidelines for the day, then form your tribe and enter a portal to a dimension of limitless adventure, all within the beautiful, enclosed confines of the St. Philips Academy. Camp directors often suggest that families write children letters. Waiting a week before calling to check in can also relieve the parent and the child’s anxiety. The Kid’s Day Camp at Deerassic costs $50 for the 3 day camp, July 12th-14th from 9am-4pm each day with lunch provided. Activities include canoeing, riflery, archery, fishing, creeking, crafts, and field games. Teens. Youth Camp is just around the corner - July 27-31. If you are planning to attend this camp with Pastor Danny, contact him and he will help you get registered. The cost is $100/per student. If your family is unable to raise the money for camp, contact the church office. We do not want any student to miss out on this spiritual impacting week because of $100. Interested in letting your creativity run wild on stage? Then choose Improv this summer! Improvisational theatre (Improv) is any unscripted theatrical performance. Completely spontaneous and absolutely wild, improv develops stage presence and interpersonal skills! Each day will be filled with fun stage games and activities including scenarios made popular by the TV show Whose Line is it Anyway? and many more. Enjoy the thrill of kayaking, boogie board the waves at Napatree, get a taste of stand-up paddle boarding, and choose your snorkel spots from a local navigation chart. Take the first exciting step in learning to surf by practicing your stance, balance, paddle technique, and duck dives safely in the Harbor.
