Minors must be accompanied by a chaperon or responsible adult (21+) who assumes responsibility and accountability for both safety and behavior of the minor. DRESS CODE: Your dressing should reflect the professional nature of an Adventist Youth and Young Adult and should respect the principles of Christian modesty and simplicity. ROOMS: 2 people per room. All campers are required and highly encouraged to bring money to cover the key deposit of $20 per key. The Artists Studio is geared toward those students who are serious about visual arts. Their day will include studio time with a professional artist learning to work with acrylic, ceramics, watercolor, pastels and pencil drawing. Please bring a snack and water bottle each day. Community Boating Center of New Bedford is a great place to send your children to have a safe fun and positive time. Community Boating Center of New Bedfords mission is to "Teach positive life values to youth through boating." This summer we are working even more in incorporate US Sailings REACH program into our summer programs. The REACH program works to teach children science, technology, engineering and math in fun and innovative ways. It helps kids learn STEM subjects while engaging in fun land and water based activities. Our programs also follow the philosophy of safety, fun and learning in that order. This summer Community Boating has Chosen to assign students to their classes. We believe assigning students will allow us the best flexibility to get more children involved in our programs as well as it will allow our instructors their best opportunity to mentor and teach children. 5089926219.0

This course is taught by veteran Head-Royce Math Teacher Chris Davies A U.C. Certified equivalent of academic year Algebra II taught in an intensive six-week format. Top-performing Head-Royce students may use the course to accelerate into Pre-calculus pending departmental approval. Other purposes for taking this course include reviewing and previewing Algebra II as needed. (As with all summer for-credit courses, students may choose to audit this course or proceed on a for-credit basis.) Textbooks will be loaned to the students, but students must provide their own graphing calculator (Head-Royce uses the TI84 or TI83). Prerequisite: Algebra 1 and Geometry, minimum C grade.
