Ever wanted to learn how to make 3D games? Join us in this unique class that will show you how to build an awesome platformer using a free game design program! First students will create all of their game assets in Blender, an animation and modeling program. These assets will then be imported into Unity, a free development tool and game engine. I have sent my kids there for three years now, and I do not regret a single penny spent! They have great facilities, great trips and now that my kids are older (11 and 13) they have fun overnights! Youth and Teen Aerial and Circus Arts Camps - Boulder, CO
Has your child or teen ever dreamed of flying — the amazing freedom, the fun, the excitement? Join professional teachers of aerials arts and acrobatics for our exciting camps! Open to kids ages 4-18, (different age groups available) campers are invited to Frequent Flyer's Aerial Dance Studio to learn skills on trapeze, aerial fabric, sling, acrobatics and so much more. Here's what a parent said about her child's experience in camp in early June: "I just wanted to let you know that she has LOVED this camp. It is such a pleasure when I sign my child up for a camp to know that the money was well spent, and that there is no whining about going to camp - she's up and out of bed, lunch packed and ready to go every morning. MCC Kid Camp - Alliance, OH
Kids ages 7 to 11 (by 9/1/15) are invited to participate in 1, 2, or 3 activities for 3 days in July. They can sign up for Basketball from 9:30-11:30, Soccer from 12:30-2:30, Art from 3:00-5:00, or a combination of 2 or 3 of these activities. Costs are as follows: $10 per kid for 1 activity, $20 per kid for 2 activities, or $25 for ALL 3, which will include lunch and a snack each day. In the event that your household has more than 2 kids participating, cost is a MAX of $25 per family for 1 Activity, $50 MAX for 2 activities, and $60 MAX for ALL 3 Activities. Typing Club - Valle Verde Elementary
Room: B-7 Instructor: Sabine Kroeber Students learn typing skills using an online keyboarding program. Emphasis will be on teaching desirable keyboarding techniques, mastery of the keyboard and development of speed and accuracy. We will also practice how to apply keyboarding skills in real life situations: Typing and formatting in Word, creating word art in Wordle, and putting together a simple PowerPoint presentation. We will tour the keyboard and learn about lesser known keys like the tilde and carat on a keyboard treasure hunt! Returning students can continue to build their speed, while new students can lay the foundation for great typing success. Butler Opera Center Young Artist Program - University of Texas at Austin
The Butler Opera Center Young Artist Program is designed to provide advanced vocal training for high school juniors & seniors, and college freshmen & sophomore singers. Our goal is to prepare young singers for voice auditions, admission, and successful integration to nationally recognized music programs. This intensive five-week program meets every Monday and Tuesday in June to engage students in a variety of classes, lessons, and performance opportunities. The program culminates with performances. BOCYAP is a one day per week event with the exception of production week. The curriculum will include individual voice instruction and classes related to the art of singing, including diction classes, song and aria interpretation, dance and the science behind vocal production. There will also be courses designed to prepare young singers for the application and audition process of undergraduate music schools and professional young artist programs. These courses range from instruction on how to dress, learning skills that are tested on entrance and diagnostic exams and a mock audition with professional and personal feedback. A great weekend for kids 8-13 years old, filled with songs, fellowship, fun and Gods word. Come on your own or as a group with youth leaders from your church. Registration will begin at 7pm on Friday night and the fun goes through Sunday afternoon at 2pm. Its a great time to reconnect with camp friends from summer and to meet new people as well but most importantly its a great time to be encouraged in your walk with Christ.
