Teen Conditioning Camp will get kids (12-16) conditioned and ready to perform at a high level of physical ability for sports, recreation and fun!! Program is developed by Paul J. Your child (ages 8 to 16) will enjoy an entire day of educational games and audition lessons and fun! They will have so much fun with the holiday themed "party" they won't even catch on to the fact they are learning. They will work with holiday themed commercials as well as holiday themed film scripts, compete in fun and festive competitions, create projects, and enjoy a good old fashioned pizza lunch. $150/$140 if registered and paid for by December 1st 2015. Cabinets of Curiosity - Lyman Campus
Ages: Girls and Boys Entering Grades 7 - 9 Dates: June 27 – July 1 Time: 9:00 am - 4:00 pm Format: One-week session designed around challenging activities Location: Laurels Lyman Campus in Shaker Heights Tuition: $360/session Cabinets of curiosity, also known as wonder rooms, were collections of extraordinary objects used to categorize the world and tell stories about its oddities. In this class, we will create a wonder room by investigating several of the many ways in which science and art intersect. By highlighting the overlap between art and science, we will gain a better understanding of each, as well as a new appreciation for how art can play a role in scientific processes and how science can inform and facilitate the creation of visual art. Topics of exploration may include: • Gyotaku/fish printing • Biological illustration • Kinetic sculpture • Cyanotyping/solar prints • The golden ratio and biomimicry • Using bacteria as paint • Nature journaling and the history of collecting 216-455-0154
