LATEST CAMPS NEWS: Percussion Camp - MPLS - MacPhail Center for Music - Mpls
Build your skills on all percussion instruments in this intensive and fun five-day camp. Each day you will play exciting music in small percussion ensembles with other students of similar ability and skill level on a variety of instruments. Students will have the opportunity to select clinics that focus on specific instruments such as drum set, snare drum, timpani and mallet keyboard instruments. During the week students will also learn practical skills such as making their own mallets and tuning their own snare drum. All student ensembles will perform for family and friends on the last day of camp. Students must have one year of band of a year of private instruction in preparation for this camp. Students outside of the age range but who have had comparable experience may contact the camp coordinator, Bob Adney, at 612-767-5410, for placement. Summer CAMP registration - San Francisco, CA
Summer Camp Registration will begin Saturday March 21st at 10AM. Sign up for CAMPS including LEARN TO SWIM PROGRAM with the City and County of San Fransisco. This can be done in one of 3 ways: 1. Online at www.sfreconline.org (view entire summer camp 2015 activity guide here) 2. at McLaren Lodge in Golden Gate Park, 501 Stanyan Street (@ Fell) (415) 831-6800. 3. At any neighboring registration site, such as Hamilton Recreation Center. 1900 Geary Blvd (@ Steiner) ***Please make sure you sign up for the correct swim lesson level for your child. If you sign up for the wrong level it could result in a withdrawal without refund for the class. If you are unsure of what level you should be signing up for please contact Assistant Supervisor Tracy Newman (Ford) at Hamilton Aquatic Center (415) 292-2008 and set up a time to have your child tested. We limit all students to a total of two classes for the season, both of which must be of the same level. Kid's Sports Camp - Delta, CO

Arcade Game Design (AM) - The Digital Arts Experience
Come for 1 or 2 weeks! All students will receive their own DAE 8GB flash drive to store their work on and take home! Code your own arcade game and design your own controller that works with it! The first half of this class will involve students coding their own old school arcade style game from scratch. Think something like Spade Invaders, Galaga, Pong and more! Then, well have the students work with Arduino boards and use physical programming to wire their own controller to work with the game. Finally, students will design their very own case for their controller that we will print out using our 3D Printers! Come both physical and digital programming for this interactive class where students will be able to show off their games and controllers to friends and family! **Please note**: We have Arduino UNOs & breadboards for the students to use as their controllers for the duration of the class but they will need to be returned at the end. The ocean is full of action, adventure, and discovery. Take a new journey into the marine environment each day by foot, kayak, or SUP. Learn about bait balls, action packed salt ponds and benthic communities by pulling up animal traps and collecting bottom samples. Thrash on waves using boogie boards, go on a kayak excursion, and help choose our snorkel sites. Pick a new travel destination with your class, and decide the route to take us to our destination.
