Here is a great opportunity for boys and girls to learn new basketball skills and improve on existing skills, all while getting a workout. Camp Director, Sean Birdsong, has been around the game of basketball for most of his life. The son of former NBA All-Star, Otis Birdsong, Sean played locally at Bonner Springs High School and collegiately at Lincoln University in Jefferson City, MO. Sean has also played at the professional level in the CBA, PBL, and NBA D-League workouts. Each participant will receive a camp t-shirt. Snowed In Kids Retreat - Annville, KY
Hey there parents! We will be having a Kids Retreat for 3RD-5TH GRADERS out at Faith Christian Camp on February 12th! Arrival time is at 6:30 on that Friday and then pick up will be by 11:00am on Saturday morning. Dinner and brunch will be served. The cost is $10 per kid. Matt Johnson is the Dean for this retreat. There will be lots of games and fun activities for your child to participate in that evening. If you have any questions send us a message. We will be posting any updates or details on this page. Express yourself! with Nelli Shevelkina Become an artist for a week in our art studios – dive into extreme sketching, painting, collage and sculpting. Work with different art media and learn how to create some art materials from scratch. Enhance drawing and painting skills by working on projects from observation. Discover and discuss masterworks. Experiment with many media choices and ideas from your imaginations. Projects include portraits, figures, sketching architecture and landscape outdoors, creating mini murals, collage, and 3-D multi media fabrications. Note: Includes a field trip to the Yale Art Gallery to view artwork and learn about several art media and techniques. Fun with Metal with Connie Pfeiffer Make jewelry and mini-sculpture with copper sheet metal and wire to wear or hang. Stamp, fold, hammer, bend, cut, twist and even heat metal to create pendants, medallions and forms from nature such as pea pods and leaves. Students will explore using basic hand tools, especially hammers, mallets, cutters, files, pliers and torches (one-on-one with instructor) to create works in metal. MATCH PLAY: Campers get to put into practice the skills theyve learned by playing matches. Singles and doubles strategy, ladder matches, exchange matches, and Davis Cup competition. Play will take place on clay and hard courts. Campers need to be able to serve and keep score. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Please bring one new unopened can of balls on the first day of camp.
