LATEST CAMPS NEWS: Climbing Camp - Intermediate - Breckenridge Recreation Center
So youre a veteran of Beginner Climbing Camp and you want to learn more about the technical side of climbing? This camp is just for you! Learn new skills including rappelling, advanced climbing techniques, and much more! As always, on Fridays we will be climbing outdoors, returning to the Recreation Center by 1:00pm. No camp on Wednesdays. Four-day camps are offered in three sessions running June 13-August 12. To register for this program, participants must have attended a Beginners Climbing Camp within the past 3 years or must receive approval from a Climbing Wall Instructor or the Outdoor Programs Coordinator. For questions, please call the Outdoor Programs Coordinator at 970-547-4324. Upon successful completion, climbers may move to the Advanced Climbing Camp. Suggested personal equipment for outdoor climbing day: Comfortable shoes for approach, water bottle, snack, wind/rain jacket, extra layers, sunscreen/lip balm, hat and camera. The first Summer Camp Music Festival was held in 2001 at Three Sisters Park in Chillicothe, IL. About 1,000 attended the festival that year, and enjoyed over 20 bands on 2 stages over the course of 2 days. Since then, Summer Camp Music Festival has grown to more than 15,000 attendees, hosting more than 100 bands on 7 stages over 3 days. And while our numbers have grown, Summer Camp still maintains the same energy and family feel we had when we started over a decade ago.
