This Minecraft-based camp focuses on general scientific principles and how they relate to the world of Minecraft and to the real world. Lessons in botany and biology will teach about the plants and animals that live and grow in Minecraft. Discussions about mineralogy and geology will explore the various gems and crystals found in Minecraft and explain how landscapes are made and formed. This camp also focuses on real life creatures such as Wolves who roam across the game world, just as they do in the real world. It's free, there are 2 sessions at 2 different locations June 13-July 8 @ Hancock Recreation Center July 11- Aug. 5 @ Doris Miller Auditorium Monday - Friday 1-5PM Write, direct, perform and tour to other camps a contemporary performance piece that will include written word, dance, puppetry, etc. The Artists we have hired for the camp have an extensive performance and technical background. You will be taking tours of local theatre spaces and seeing performances around town. This is truly a unique experience if you have an interest in the theatre arts and performance art. This registration is for our Winstead Elementary location. If you need to register for our Walnut Grove Elementary location please search registration code 6318. Camp Will is a specialized therapeutic summer day camp for children, adolescents and young adults (ages 6 through 23 years) with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Our goal is to build confidence and self esteem, enhance social skills, foster independence, and provide an exciting and fun-filled summer through various activities, such as music, art, sports, recreation therapy, and more. This online registration is the first step of a two step process to enroll your child in Camp Will.
