An apple a day keeps the doctor away? but how do you keep an entire community healthy and safe from terrorist attacks, deadly disease outbreaks, unsafe food and water, rabies, rats and other public health threats? Find out during Camp Public Health at Columbus Public Health. Campers will learn what it takes to protect community health in the 15th largest city in the country through hands-on activities with public health professionals including nurses, sanitarians, epidemiologists and doctors. They?ll also gain insight into active living features such as Art Walks, stream sampling, healthy foods and community gardens, as well as the use of Facebook, Twitter and YouTube to promote public health. Flexible drop off time between 7:15-9 am. Flexible pick up time between 4-6 pm. Breakfast and lunch provided. Join the Krewe of Chewbacchus this December break for Winter Parade Camp! Our winter campers learn about the history of Mardi Gras traditions in New Orleans and around the world. They create costumes and throws, and build their own shoebox float. At the end of the week, we throw an awesome parade and party with our Chewbacchus kids and families. Volleyball Camp - JrHS/HS Residential Camp - Chico State University - Acker Gym
The Junior High School/High School camp is designed for the boy or girl volleyball player, ages 12-18, who is preparing for the upcoming season. The camp offers the opportunity to explore new techniques for learning the fundamental volleyball skills. The mornings and afternoons will emphasize individual and team skills and how to incorporate them into overall team play. The evenings will be primarily six-on-six team play through various games and tournaments. With great instruction and good competition, the camper should depart camp with a newfound confidence in his or her game.
