Albany Gems Summer Youth Dance Camp - Albany, OR
The Gems are hosting their 2nd Annual Summer Dance Camp on July 16-17th, 2016. This is a two day camp for 1st - 8th grade dancers of all abilty and skill levels. All classes will be held in the main facility at the Albany Boys and Girls Club. Both days will run from 8:00am - 3:00pm. This give LOTS of time for parents to get some stuff done while we entertain your kiddos! Classes will be split up by level and experience so that everyone is in a class they are comfortable with. Classes will be divided into Mini, Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced. Class descriptions will be posted later in the comments. Dancers will stretch and warm up together, learn a entire camp dance, learn level appropriate dance routines, practice technical skills that apply to all dancers, and dancers will be given snack and lunch breaks both days. At the end of the second day (3:00pm) there will be a family and friends show so that your dancers can show you what they've been working on. We have INCREDIBLE instructors coming from ALL over the State of Oregon to give your kiddos the BEST experience possible! ...

Campers will have fun as they do slip-and-slide painting, create splatter art, body prints and more creations that drip, goo and splatter! Each day will conclude with cleaning off under a sprinkler. Got a kid who loves to move? This is the camp for you! Creative Movement is an exploratory camp that encourages students to be curious about all the wonderful ways their body can move. Each day of camp has a theme that dancers will explore through story, movement, music, props, crafts & games, allowing them to express themselves while learning movement vocabulary, strengthening coordination, gross and fine motor skills, and focus. Get a taste of stand up paddle boarding and surfing that includes turtle rolls in order to reach far out levels that will set you on track to make your own rooster tail in the future.
