Amazing Summer Adventure
We felt it was very important for our kids to spend at least a portion of the summer surrounded by nature. They got plenty of that at Moss Hollow! This was a summer of first for our children including first time in a canoe, first time sleeping overnight outside the home, first time camping, first time fishing. This summer we will be going to camp on week 10. That will be August 3rd – 8th. The evangelist will be Tom Farrell. Every teen and junior is invited to join us for summer camp. Teen campers must be 12 years old by September 1, 2015 and junior campers must be at least 9 years old by September 1, 2015. The cost for teen campers is $345.00, if you register before February 1st you will save $50.00 The cost for junior camp is $335.00, if you register before February 1st you will save $50.00 This year you can register online and just be sure to join your registration up with Calvary Baptist Church of New Bern.

February Break - Kid's Adventure Day Camp - Oakhurst, CA
Come and join the fun at Sugar Pine during February Break! It’s going to be an exciting week full of friends, adventure and growth. You’ll play lots of games: including target sports, board games, and adventurous activities. You’ll explore the beauty of the mountains during the daily nature lessons and get “creative” making crafts and learning new skills. Each day will have reading & journal times and open times to play with friends, make crafts, join the Game Room Tournament or visit the Old Mill Cafe. What is Day Camp? Kid's Adventure Day Camp was created as a safe, fun and educational event for 3rd-6th graders during school breaks. Parents can drop-off their children knowing that they will be cared for by experienced staff members who's primary concern is to provide a safe and fun environment for every child. Camp SOAR (Summer Outdoor Adventure Recreation) - Hawks Camp Partial Day Go on an outdoor adventure with us this summer! Every week campers will experience games, crafts, silly songs, making friends, and learning in a beautiful, natural park setting. Sessions include play time, singing, storytelling and a short, local field trip. All registrations include a camp shirt, a healthy snack, and a visit from a special guest. Trailblazers - Learn to make homemade granola bars, go on a nature hike, and get a visit from our trailblazing Fire Department. All campers should bring a healthy lunch daily. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Field trip on 7/13 to Rocking Jump in San Carlos. For children going into 2nd and 3rd grade Snakes, frogs and turtles! Campers will be immersed into the habits and characteristics of reptiles and amphibians, including time with live animals. Camp will also include walks, crafts, games and stories. All campers will receive a free camp tee shirt. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- * This program will take place regardless of the weather. * Campers must bring a sack lunch if staying for lunch with the counselors. * Lunch with the counselors is an additional $10. * Register before June 1st and receive a $5.00 discount. Whether youve never taken voice lessons before or you have a few years of experience, Voice Camp is right for you. Students will work in small groups to develop their technique - improving their breathing, range and confidence. Through solos, duets and large ensemble pieces, students will study a variety of styles and genres including jazz, pop, musical theater and classical singing while continuing to expand their music reading skills. Each student will be expected to come to camp with a prepared, memorized vocal solo of any genre. The camp will conclude with a final concert for family and friends. Mandell Cubs, a program for children ages 18 - 24 months, offers a gentle introduction to school. During the fall months, children explore the wonders of the classroom with their grown-up close by, in this non separation portion of the year. Then, in January, after the children are fully acclimated to school and have bonded with their teachers, Mandell Cubs becomes a separation program. Through use of art and playtime, music and movement, science and storytime, we build on a childs natural sense of curiosity to enrich their emotional, physical and intellectual development.
