Our Kids's art camp is back...and during Christmas Break! We provide all the supplies, your child's inspiration and step-by-step instruction of the featured art. At the end of the event, kids will go home with their very own snowman masterpiece. This class woudl make a great kids for any children on your list. Appropriate ages are 6-12. Lexington Family Magazine Summer Camps & Activities Fair - Lexington,
Visit booths representing camps, afterschool activities, birthday party venues, health care professionals, schools and more at our 14th Annual Fair. The Fair will be held at Lexington Christian Academy at 450 W. Reynolds Rd. just across the street from Meijer and behind Fayette Mall. We fill both of the gyms at the school. Each booth will have a fun activity for kids while Mom and Dad chat with the professionals. You'll find giant inflatables, face painting, costumed characters, games and giveaways. While you are there you can enter your kids in our Cover Model Contest. Professional photographer Lucy Chesnut, of Glitter and Sawdust Studios, will take photos of all their smiling faces and we'll use those pictures to choose winners who will appear on the covers of Lexington Family Magazine in the next year. We'll also have performances all day long from some of the most talented kids in the bluegrass including dancers, martial artists, gymnasts and more. Best of all? IT'S FREE! Balance and Harmony is happy to announce our first summer yoga camp for children ages 3-5. This camp will introduce your child to basic yoga poses and breathing exercises through story, songs and games. Each class will also include a creative activity that reinforces our yoga practice. Children will bring a packed snack and we will enjoy time outside at Wait Park. Taught by Sherry Wolfson. Sherry holds a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and a 200 hour Yoga Teaching Certificate. She began teaching preschool and special education over 30 years ago and has taught yoga to preschoolers at Childswork Learning Center in Portalnd for the past 3 years. Classes will be held for 5 weeks (July 1st - 29th) on Wednesdays from 1:00-4:00. Fee-$150 for all 5 days. May 23-27:Wilderness Skills & Archery (Ages 9-12) - Mountain Kids!
Have you ever wondered how our ancestors survived in the wild? This week will dispel some of the mystery as you learn skills all cultures have used for time eternal. Learn how to make cordage and fire using primitive techniques. Learn how and where to build a survival shelter that you can actually sleep in on our Wednesday campout. Of course, no week of Mountain Kids would be complete without moments of serendipity where we get curious and learn from nature and play. This fun and learning-packed week is sure to fire up and build the confidence of any budding outdoors kid! 505-699-6230
Staff Application 2016 - Judson Baptist Retreat Center
A JBRC Camp Staff must be a mature Christian, pleasant toward campers, counselors, and fellow workers. Must be willing to work hard and go the extra mile and must have a servants heart! Ten-Week Staff will begin on May 17, 2015 unless you are applying for a wrangler position. Our Horse Program Director will contact wranglers about when they will arrive. All Ten-Week Staff will be remaining at camp until July 24, 2015 as of January 8, 2015. This could possibly change to July 31 if we book an additional group. 225-634-7225
Middle School Team Camp - Beck Center
This is a TEAM camp that will have very little instruction but will be set up more for Middle School teams getting prepared for the upcoming season. There will be different forms of tournaments set up that will vary based on the score of each set along with a traditional tournament that will run throughout the entire 3 days. The camp is $45 per camper and they will receive a lunch on all 3 days. Also, there is a team minimum of 8 kids per middle school.
