Annual Camping & Kid Fish Event in the Park - W.m. Brook Park
The annual camping and kid fish event will be held on June 5-6, 2015 at W. M. Brook Park. Registration will be held on Friday, June 5th at 6pm followed by a hot dog supper, movie in the park (The Goonies) , and campfire fun. Participants can then go camping or fishing. Discovery Day Camp - Rose Lake Youth Camp
A 3-day day camp program for high functioning special needs children and adults with good mobility. Programming includes nature crafts, music and singing, non-competitive group games and wet-n-wild water activities. This camp will run from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and provide lunch and a snack. What is it about wax that appeals to our senses of touch, taste, sight and smell? Beeswax. Paraffin. Soy wax. Gel wax. In this camp you will learn how to work with wax as a creative medium that is as versatile as clay or metal. You will also explore how wax is made and how the very different chemical and physical properties influence what it is best used for! Campers will create their own candles, practice wax resist techniques and will even learn the age-old craft of encaustic painting (using melted wax as paint). Make Your Own Comic Book - The Evergreen School
Students will draw their own comic book while learning storyboarding, basic character drawing, and 3D drawing. There will be opportunities to read comic books and to use how-to-draw guides in Manga, Anime, and various other styles. On the last day everyone will take home the comic book they created.
