For students ages 9-11 who are interested in more of a performance challenge, we offer our 6-week Performance Class. Participants in this class will be involved in a full-scale production, from auditions to set building to opening day. Family and friends will be invited to the performances on Friday, August 19th at 4 pm and again on Saturday, August 20th at 11 am as part of our Family Hour in the Open program. $1275 for a 6-week session, July 4th-29th, August 8th-19th. 9am-2pm. 978-465-2572

The camp is taught by Belinda Thurston and Monica Pino. Our classes teach children body awareness and positive self image while finding healthy movement exercises. Awareness, avoidance, and physical techniques are all key features of self-defense training. This camp for both girls and boys will focus on concepts and techniques that are practical, simple and applicable to todays world. Discussion on potential threats and negative situations will be included along with tips for avoiding danger and physical practice for self-protection. Our experienced instructor will facilitate the building of a safe, fun learning environment in this invaluable camp! Truth and Dare: Finding Meaning in Your Fiction with Rhonda Claridge - Ah Haa School for the Arts
Explore through writing where real life ends and fiction begins. This two-day workshop will help you express (and discover) what is meaningful to you through writing: What true experiences motivate your work, and how can you make them truthful in fiction? Where does real life end and fiction begin? Award-winning writer and Colorado Mesa University instructor Rhonda Claridge will work with students on creating composite characters, developing fiction out of what they know, and elucidating the essence of their narratives. Working with well known movie and Broadway songs, children will learn the fundamentals of singing. Each class will explore warming up and vocal technique with age appropriate tunes and vocal games. Children will also learn musical theatre performance techniques which will culminate in numbers performed for family and friends at the end of the year performance. Songs will be chosen from the classic Disney songbook through newer Broadway favorites. Past performance pieces have included such favorites as "Do You Wanna Build a Snowman" from Frozen, "Evrybody Wants to Be a Cat" from Disneys The Artistocats and "Choose Me" from The Castaways. River Monsters Monday, February 22nd Whats the LURKING beneath the waters? Creature of the deep? Giants of the sea? Unleash monsters beyond your wildest imagination! If you DARE, come to this camp, face your fears and learn about river monsters and much more. Campers will learn all about cyrptids at this camp. Cryptozoology (from Greek , kryptos, hidden + zoology; literally, study of hidden animals) is a pseudoscience involving the search for animals whose existence has not been proven due to lack of evidence. The animals cryptozoologists study are often referred to as cryptids such as the Loch Ness Monster, Yeti, Bigfoot, unicorns, alien big cats, Chupacabra and more. Cryptozoology relies heavily upon anecdotal evidence, stories, and alleged sightings. Will we have any unusual sighting? You can count on it!
