Masjid al-Noor Youth Camp is an exciting opportunity to spend time building brotherhood/sisterhood while enjoying recreational activities, and spending time with Shaykh Noman Hussain. The camp will be open for youth between the ages of 12-18. If there are any children that would like to attend under the age of 12, they will be allowed attendance ONLY IF A PARENT/GUARDIAN attends as their chaperone. Brothers and sisters will be in separate accommodations in the same campsite under the supervision of adult male and female camp counselors. 2 Day Event, Come Play Under the Lights! -This is a non-contact camp, designed to put players (boys and girls, ages 5-14) through the paces of most positions, and prepare them for the upcoming season. Players will rotate from station to station as they learn valuable techniques and fundamentals from the Lakeside High School Football Coaching Staff. Come play under the lights and Experience how it feels to play like a Lakeside Lancer under the big lights! Advocacy Training for Pennsylvania Youth Recovery Campaign - Philadelp
The Pennsylvania Youth Recovery Campaign and The Bridgeway School would like to formally announce that legislation is officially being sponsored in both the House of Representative (Rep. John Taylor –[R] Philadelphia) and the Senate (Sen. Pat Browne -[R] Pennsylvania) to promote recovery high schools in Pennsylvania. When enacted, this bill will create an alternate class of school designated Recovery High School. These schools will be suited to address the educational and recovery support needs of high school age/eligible youth dealing with substance use disorders in Pennsylvania. These schools will ensure that students receive the tools necessary to retain long term recovery, achieve academic greatness, and promote family inclusion, support, and overall wellness through education and recovery. We need your help to raise awareness for, and champion this cause on behalf of all Pennsylvania Youth. Please also join us for an Advocacy Training event on February 25th and 7pm at The Bridgeway School. Through this training we will equip all supporters and stakeholders with the knowledge and tools to advocate in support of this vital legislation. Use microscopes, document cameras, and magnifying glasses as you journey to the NESS aquariums, tide pools, the shoreline, and into the Harbor on a boat. Perform a crab dissection and venture to new habitats by kayak, foot, and snorkel. Includes: 1 boat trip on the Dodsons Launch 860-535-9362
